The man from Salvation Army was so kind that I just wanted to cry. He took the small amount of stuff and got ready to put it in his 18 wheeler. He said something to the effect that one person's garbage is another person's treasure. Call us anytime. What a wonderful, understanding person. I found him to be a bright spot in this show.

Nothing like watching a short clip to make you clean your house😂

When she said if she had more storage area or just a storage or utility room, her house wouldn’t look like this, I had to laugh. She knows she would just fill up that space too! It’s mind boggling to see boxes of merchandise she bought and never opened, let alone never used.

One of my aunts was a QVC addict before she got Alzheimer's and had to go to a nursing home. When we cleaned out her house, we would find things still in boxes. It would be the same thing that she ordered four or five times.

I love this show so much. Forever reminding that nothing is special if everything special.

How can she think some items are IMPORTANT if she hasn’t even seen that item for the last 20 years or more ? Definitely hard to let go for some people…

Growing up my mom was definitely a hoarder. Not to this extreme but close. When my brother bought our childhood house & my mom moved into a mobile home (her choice), she got rid of so much stuff!! I was so proud of her. She grew up poor back when times were bad & I think that's why she did it.

Hoarding and compulsive shopping is directly related to grief and loneliness.

The thing about the home shopping networks is they have a person that they talk to even if it’s just for 5 mins it’s a real person. Just listen to how they talk to these people, they even know the pets names. As a caregiver I have seen this over and over, it’s about loneliness.

This is disgusting. I am amazed by all the beautiful houses these hoarders live in. My word....there a lots of people who don't even have a house.

My mom is doing the same exact thing to us. She has the same exact 💯stubbornness as the individual here. "I do everything for all of you. You have no idea how hard life would be without me."

We hear this every single time the clutter problem comes up.

My mom ordered this stuff. She couldn't pay her a/c bill. It was junk. She thought it was beautiful, and the order takers were her friends. I finally took over her
checking account. She wanted a computer, we told her no. QVC and HSN are predatory. It took 3 of us a whole week to clear out a small place.

Thousands of dollars just wasted😮
QVC and HSN salespeople are the best, they just keep talking until you pick up the phone. On top of that there's usually two and they're laughing and talking and it's like a party and some lonely people watch that just for company and end up buying and never returning.
I think she's lonely 😭

It is a mental disorder and an addiction. Two hellish blocks to overcome. As one commenter said, even the homeless and poor are hoarders showing it isn't about about money. It is a brain glitch disorder and also like a gambler's addiction; any addiction. Pray for the ones involved with hoarders, too. ✌🏼🙏🏼🖖🏼

I can’t even understand how people can afford to buy so much, I can’t even afford to keep food in my house, and used clothes on my body

Best thing I ever did for my grandma was send her on a week's getaway, have family and pro organizers clean up her home/ property. She admitted she needed counseling and has been a neat-freak ever since!

If she is an administrative assistant, I am sure that she and her clothes smell to high heaven. Hopefully her coworkers will sit down with her and clue her in on how disgusting it is.
