Having a spoiled gallon of milk because you didn't put it away then buying another gallon of milk and sitting it RIGHT NEXT TO THE OTHER MILK is really something next level

Kevin: Yelled at the volunteers and specialists.
Also Kevin: Turned into a weak kitty cat when the inspector came to evict him.

Kevin is a real piece of work; those volunteers and the hoarding team deserve a medal. I wouldn't have the patience to deal with hoarders because I hate clutter.

I feel for Tara, when she was talking about her love of bears it really showcases the big feelings hoarders have for their things.

Oh my goodness, I loved Steven with Dorothy, he seems a lovely guy and Dorothy is just a wonderful supportive person. Her training, experience, compassion and understanding really shone through in the last video. I really hope that Steven does well 😊

I feel so bad for the any children or animals who are stuck living with hoarders. So much dysfunction and pain gets inflicted upon the innocent.

The 1st video is so sweet. Watching the daughter well up with tears at the end, of pure happiness & disbelief. Tender moment ❤❤

Apparently, that Kevin guy was offered 12000 dollars to leave, but his apartment had rent control, so of course he didn't go and the landlord could't make him go. Laws need to change if you can't evict a tenant jeopardising public health and safety. Smh!

Kimberley has a bad case of avoidant personality on top of her hoarding, explains the sleeping. It's like your brain can't wake up. She's most probably not faking it. I've got it so bad it turned into dissociative and derealization episodes and I don't control them when I have too much anxiety. C-ptsd is a ticking bomb. If you can get help. The pain now is only a fraction of waiting over 40 years like I did and being disabled by it all.

Kevin is a prime example as to why you can not enable your grown children. Depending on his parents and then when they left this world he was lost. No life skills whatsoever

My husband is a hoarder. In 2010 we ""cleared "" his mother's house 300 miles away in Cumbria, England. There were 29 chests of Rubbish that he wanted to keep. He was gradually filling our 4 bed detached house. In 2017 we arranged a Part Exchange to a 2 bed retirement apartment. We had 2 weeks to empty our house . I have 4 adult children. We
moved what i wanted into our new place, and then one of our children, plus 2 teenage grand children took grandad away for 2 days. We boxed what we thought he would insist on keeping and took the boxes to a storage depot where his mum's 29 boxes were stored and took the rest to our local rubbish and recycling centre
Since 2017 he has regularly visited his stuff, and looks at it but will not throw anything out. I won't allow him to bring rubbish into the apartment, but he has managed to fill 4 boxes and a 2 draw filing cabinet with papers that need chucked . He has been in hospital since mid January, , and thankfully cannot visit his ""stuff "" anymore as we no longer drive . In the Easter school holidays we are going to dispose of all the contents of the storage locker without even looking at it. Just today my cleaning lady commented how clean and tidy our apartment is. Even someone as vigilant as me can be nearly overwhelmed. My advice is get the good stuff out of your apartment or house while the hoarder is out for a day or two. and be vigilant at not allowing any more junk to come in . Take it to a storage place or chuck it when the hoarder is out. Taking him to visit his stuff seemed to work. Now he does not bother that he cannot visit his stuff. because it is 6 miles away, and we no longer drive.

I would be interested to hear from a psychologist about my approach. Is being cruel to be kind unfair ?
