It has always baffled me how people that are anti-individual, anti-liberty, anti-capitalism, and pro-central authority call those that oppose their ideology fascists, but then confusing language is a leftist tactic.

Very appropriate video - getting tired of people calling those who directly and literally fought against facism facists.

Love how you slipped Fauci into the slideshow of GOAT facists.

If they are accusing you of it, then they are doing it themselves.

Had a class last semester on political ideologies. Luckily my Proffesor was a straightforward guy, he described facism as a horseshoe on the political scale instead of right or left. But it was funny to watch the lefties in my class squirm as he compared facism to policies that they support.

For those who don't know, the ancient Roman fasces were a bundle of rods surrounding an axe, and were carried a symbol of the state authority held by a magistrate. They were also more than symbolic because they could be unbundled to administer corporal punishment by rods or capital punishment with the axe. Plus the modern Italian fascio means a bundle and doubles as a word for a workers' union.

I don't think Ben mentioned Giovanni Gentile once. As Gentile is the person who first theorized the ideology of fascism, I think Ben should have at least said so.

Barbie: **gets called a fascist and cries**
Also Barbie, through tears: "But I don't even control the railways or flow of commerce!"

"The new fascism will not say: 'I am fascism'. No, he will say: 'I am anti-fascism'.“ ~ Ignazio Silone *1900 †1978, pseudonym of Secondino Tranquilli, political leader and Italian novelist. World-famous during World War II for his powerful anti-Fascist novels. He was 10 times nominated for the Nobel Prize of Literature. (Citation as reported by François Bondy from an interview in Switzerland 1944 for 'Die Zürcher Weltwoche'.)

Wait, I can't use "fascist" to describe all of the politicians I hate? Automatic dislike.

This series is great, and it shows Ben put a lot of research and work into it. It actually speaks to people who have above an 8th grade mentality. Nice Job.

Great series! Far more valuable than “cheap” entertainment with Tiktok reactions imo

Finally someone is saying it. I get so tired of getting called crazy when I tell people that Hitler and Mussolini were very left wing by every American standard.

I’ve always loved that people who drop the word all the time have no clue what fascism is. They seem to just like saying it.

I never cared about what people called me. None of us should. That being said, well done Ben and the DW staff.
