I appreciate that you have a speech impediment and speak better than most people who have zero speech impediment. Thank you for showing us all that you don't have to be "perfect" to succeed!

I got my dodge Dakota for $2000 and it was very clear that it was a serious work truck for most of it’s 220, 000 miles before I bought it. All I had to do was fix a few minor issues for probably about $50 and I got it running perfectly after that. I agree when he said dakotas can take a serious beating.

The 88-98 Chevy Silverados are some of the best and most reliable trucks you can buy.

My dad had a blue 2000 Dakota Sport V8 from 2000 to 2007. He drove it brand new off the lot.

Hell yeah!
Also, I can personally recommend the Rams. I may have an old model (the 1981 D-150 with the 318 LA V8), but most other models on that price range are great, too.

I’ve personally never seen a ranger come into my shop with more than 250, 000 miles without major work done.

I have a 2003 chevy Silverado, my dad had it before me, it was his work truck and he drove it up to 407, 000miles before he had to do a motor swap. He abused the truck, didn't worry about rust or dents. He kept up with regular maintenance. I now have the truck up to 500, 000miles with the second motor, I am just now having to fix fuel and brake lines because they are rusting out. Overall a very reliable truck. I live in the midwest, so you can get an idea of what I am driving in.

The 88-98 Chevy K1500s are the most reliable trucks for the money and where I live they can almost always be found for under $3000.

No matter what truck you get it’s gonna need work down the road, it’s 10-20 years old and might need a water pump at 103, 000 miles and a alternator at 110, 000 miles, new shocks, ball joints, etc. still way cheaper and better than dropping $40-$50k in a new f150 or Silverado. Preventive maintenance is the name of the game on used vehicles. Stay on top of repairs and a used truck will last hundreds of thousands of miles.
