Crazy to see how quality has shifted over the years. Had a 98 f150 with well over 300k miles. Was a beast! Had a 04 f150 and was in the shop every 3 months for engine issues.

Just putting it out there, my uncle's had a Dodge Dakota for 15 years now, it's got well over 450K on it, and while not all the bells and whistles work anymore that thing has been nothing but reliable. He uses it as a truck should be used. Hauling things, towing things, it's not been gently used.

Just my experience.

Little Known Fact: If you give Scotty a baton while he's talking, then put the Philharmonic Orchestra in front of him, his arms would conduct The Star Spangled Banner.

I got a 2005 2500 ram with cummins. I have only had the passenger AC blower motor go out on it. That’s it with 350, 000 miles. It’s been great!

I bought a 1996 Dodge brand new. I have bought a few more in the last 20+ years and had no issues at all with them. The last one I bought was a 3500 single cab but unfortunately due to my late wife having cancer she had difficulty getting in and out. I still have my 96 1500 though and it has over 300, 000 miles on it. I did have to change out the O2 sensors and high pressure governor but thats it! I drive it every day!

Got a 14 ram with the 5.7 and 8 speed trans. Gets about 19.5 MPG average and the only reason I bought it was it's not the same junk transmissions they used to use, they are actually very reliable now as long as they're maintained, coming from a chevy guy. 115, 000 smooth miles so far, many to come!

My 08 silverado with the 5.3 has 250k and counting, it comes down to how well you maintain your vehicle most of the time.

5.2 is a strong engine 5.9 burns some oil but it’s still strong. My 4.7 had some issues that had to do with the previous owner, but it’s strong, 200k and you can still see the crosshatching on the cylinder walls. 5.7 hemi, fine has a couple of quirks but fine for the most part. Strong for the most part motors.

Ram has 0% financing for 84 months, the challenge there isn’t making the payments, it’s having a working vehicle at the end of 7 years.

My 2005 Ram truck has 314k miles and runs fine. Both engine and trans have done just fine. My 03 Jeep Liberty has over 200k miles and fires right up. It is also doing fine. I’m happy with my purchases.
