The cop literally told him he didn’t care. That’s the issue right there.

Nothing like tying up the victim and then telling him “we’ll let you know why I’ve tied you up”!
Guilty before innocence presumed. Call the police to tell them I’ve stolen my own car. “Are you sure you don’t have a record???”
Disgraceful.

There is nothing that cannot be made worse by involving the police!

Turning off body cam should be automatic termination and referral to states attorney for criminal charges

As a black man myself this reinforces my reasons for not trusting police.

Once a cop steps foot out their vehicle, the bodycam should automatically start recording & shouldn't be able to be turned off. Same goes for cameras in the police car.

It's a damn shame they make this man go thru this. He's the one making the damn call.

Guy calls cops because someone steals his car. Cops show up look at eachother and say well he is black...case closed your under arrest. Flawless logic. Incompetence at its finest.

The cop said, "The description of the guy that took off in your car is just like yours." *SO, WHERE IS THE EFFING CAR, AND WHY IS THE VICTIM STILL IN THE LOCATION HIS CAR WAS STOLEN FROM, MR. /GENIUS/ POLICEMAN?!* This is *insane!*

Lawsuits against cops should be paid out 100% from the cops

This guy deserves his $500, 000 plus if I were on a jury would award him $1, 500, 000 in punitive damages. Disgusting! I hate stories like this.

This man stole his own car. Brilliant detective work.

Wtf... They arresting him for for looking like the person who stole his car? This is some dumb shit.

We must remove the ability for a cop to control his/her own bodycam. They should be on for the entire shift. In this day and age, you just can't trust all of the cops.

"Ever been arrested before?" "No." "Are you sure?" Because if this black guy has never been arrested, it means the Miami PD has not been doing its job. This is all horrifyingly racist.

"911. What's your emergency?"
"My car's been stolen"
"Sir, you're under arrest"

This nonsense happens all the time. I call the police once about someone stealing my car, once they arrived they started questioning me like I set the s*** up or something. If it wasn't for the young white lady telling them exactly what happened, this probably would have been my fate too.

Wow! It's easy to see why cops are so hated, and it's well deserved.

Officer: "You ever been arrested before?"
Guy: "No."
Officer: "You sure about that?"
Guy: "Know what? No, I'm not sure at all if I've ever been arrested before because I would never remember having ever been arrested before."

I’m an old white retired cop. One thing I noticed was a frightened young officer pacing around afraid to holster his taser because this CRIME VICTIM intimidated him. Take a pill or find another job. It wasn’t exactly John Dillinger or Al Capone that y’all had surrounded. The reoccurring problem is a lack of concern by SOME cops regarding the image they leave behind. It’s glaringly evident that many simply do not care. Now, I want to support qualified immunity but I hate the abuses that are occurring. IDK, it’s hard for me to say it but perhaps it is time we take a harder look at QM. Some officers feel they are entitled to use and abuse it whiles others understand it is a privilege.
