Two police officers stop the head of Internal Affairs

On April 10, 2021, Orlando Police Officers Sebastian Woods Mariano and Alexander Ham conducted a traffic stop of a U-Haul truck after they witnessed the U-Haul run a red light.

The stop was rather uneventful, apart from the reality that the pair had stopped their own agency's manager of Internal Affairs, Dwain Rivers.

Asked is he had any 'drugs, guns, or stolen kids' in his U-Haul truck, Rivers replied "Just furniture."

Which seems to have been satisfactory to Officer Mariano... whose body camera was sideways.

If there are lights at an intersection that even officers are saying are confusing, then it needs to be fixed.

If people are ALWAYS running through it because they think that light is for them like BOTH officers said, then there is a MAJOR problem there that's going to get someone killed. This is NOT a driver's problem, this is a dangerous design problem.

So the officer knows the traffic light is confusing creating a dangerous and possibly deadly situation. And instead of getting it fixed he uses it to write tickets? Appalling.

Thank u for posting this so other people can get their citations overturned, this is criminal to keep a intersection in its unsafely conditions and to continue citing citizens for it.

This is how it's supposed to be done. Officers are professional and courteous, driver is the same and everyone goes on about their business.

I’m pro police all day long but when this officer said ppl get confused all the time, the town needs to have the light adjusted so ppl don’t get confused anymore. And anyone getting a ticket for their confusion shouldn’t.

Both officers admit that the intersection is a problem yet they still pulled him over. 🤦
