Male nurse with 38 years service here. Decided not to retire and renewed at age 67. Can't fault you. It's becoming less discriminatory nowadays. Proud to be a nurse!

there is no gender when it comes to helping people who are sick and need care.

I'm proud to do nursing as a man. Nothing about saving and protecting lives is emasculating.

I'm a male nursing student in graduate school getting a master's as a CNL, and I just wanted to say that i've been watching your videos since the beginning of your journey and let's just say those videos influenced me to finally go ahead and pursue this career after much debate and I would like to thank you for that. Keep them coming, looking forward to more videos from you.

I always ask for male nurses in ER or hospital. They go above and beyond, excellent bedside manner, listen, and perform a far better job, specially in a "freak out" or chaotic situations. Less emotional is not always bad.
Good job man!

I'm also going to school as a male nurse and I don't really feel people look at it as a bad thing. It's a good profession.

Nice! I got my associates (ADN) and about to get my BSN in less than 2 months. We are definitely one of few 21st century trail blazers in the U.S. My life consists of all women at Home, work and social life😅. The only consistent males in my life are my father and dog. Being one of the few males in Nursing school is definitely a good feeling. In many ways. 😏 Its not any easier though. Nursing is not sexist. It is a testament to any genders will power and intelligence. There are stigmas, but you always come across that one prof, classmate or colleague that reminds you why nursing is awesome! I even amaze myself with my progress. 😂 I am glad you make youtube videos to support young males in nursing. I am also 23. I never got into vlogging, but you are doing exactly what I would do, maybe better. lol. Keep up the informative and motivational posts! I am a proud Latino NYC based male RN.

Being a nurse is for those who likes taking care of others while getting paid a lot, not just females

As a new grad male nurse I feel I got a lot of positive prejudice through my bachelor's and training. I also feel being a man helped me secure my job in the ER straight out of school (understandably in resuscitation and code whites having some guys on the team is helpful). There are some studies that show that despite being in a mostly female profession, male nurses advance faster in rank and gain access to more ''power'' positions than female nurses. Is this something other guys in nursing have felt?
