Actually, from what I've heard they're actually shunned or treated differently. It's changing a lot and I've noticed cuz I work at the hospital. Over the years more males have entered but it still is different the way the patients treat them. But let me tell you them. Female nurses love it because when you have some 6'5 dude who can lift that grandma, it's so nice. And very helpful. I told My barber I wanted to be a nurse and she told me she was a nurse as well and did it part-time. And she was like we need more male nurses. So can't wait to start nursing school.
