I used to make my own Ginger Ale from scratch. I'd chop up Ginger Root boil it in water to extract as much ginger flavor as I could. Allow the water to cool to below 110°F. Add some sugar, lime juice, and some yeast and mix it in. Then fill plastic Mr Rootbeer bottles with it, they have pressure relief caps. Let it sit out for a week or two in a warm dark place to naturally carbonate. Then refrigerate and enjoy.

Stopped drinking soft drinks fifteen years ago after a discussion with my urologist, now I only drink home made Soda water using filtered water, sometimes I will add freshly squeezed fruit juice

I used to work for a service company that shared the building with a bottling company that made soda water soft drink whatever you want to call it I came across some 5 gallon pales of flavoring they use and there was a warning label corrosive that point on I never touched any more soda water

The ONLY soda we drink, is Seltzer, ie. Carbonated water. Sometimes water is not enough to quench the thirst, and only Seltzer will do, to be break down the saliva.
Occasionally we add our own flavoring. Eg. lemon and/or cucumber slices, or a bit of cherry juice.

Agree with all of your podcast, however I can state as a fact that carbonated water does not hurt the teeth. The mouth is a buffer system that adjusts ph. Nature has made it possible that one minute we can have a lemonade with a ph of 3 and then the next minute take a bicarbonate with a ph of 8. The oral environment stays neutral. However, any system can be over loaded if too much soda is consumed. In my 40 years practicing dentistry saw plenty of “bombed out “ mouths from soda. We called such patients as having a Mountain Dew mouth

I was just reading "The Poison Needle, " and it talked about how terrible phosphoric acid was (and it's in pop) . Is it in all soft drinks?

Kombucha for the WIN!!!
I make mine with organic assam tea and organic cane sugar. For my second ferment, I add organic fruits and ginger and it gives it a lovely fizz!

I hope they expand and ship to Canada someday. We like to carbonate our filtered water using a soda stream and add our own natural flavours. It's a fun thing to do on the weekend.

Dr. Bailey, I think how the pure water is obtained would be very beneficial for those who really scrutinize things such as this, yes. As you know the importance of water (which if no one has watched it can find it on her Odyssey Channel in the description box above 😉) and how it is derived. I myself, no matter how the water how is purified .. some sources I would never drink from by choice ... thanks for another informative video, always enjoy the data.)

Oh dr. Bailey. I was all excited but I guess for now we will have to stick with zevia. Not thrilled with the aluminum but is best option for now in the 🇺🇸US.

Raw crystallised sugarcane juice is VERY healthy. Jaggery.
You can make your own with this and natural flavours. Fizz them with some lemon/lime juice, or citric acid and baking soda.
