Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown | Montana | S07 E04 | All Documentary

Anthony travels to "Big Sky Country" Montana, and its quiet lifestyle. Tony visits the Crow Indian Reservation to view a traditional horse relay race. Later, Tony goes on a pheasant hunt with comedian/MMA color commentator Joe Rogan. From there, Bourdain takes part in a Butte institution the Supper club, then traverses the Orphan Boy mine. Bourdain finally spends time with an old friend, the late American writer Jim Harrison, whom the episode is dedicated to.

I lived in Livingston as a very young boy from about 64 to 68. I am a born and raised Montanan and lived all over the state. For me, this was the best Parts Unknown because I can relate. I understand the heart of a native Montanan. I have been all over the states and different parts of the world and have lived in the Philippines for the last six and half years and the thing that is different about Montana is this, they are undoubtably the friendliest people you cross them.

One eyed Jimmy, the poet who finishes the episode off, died a few weeks after this aired. He died at his desk in his writing shack, writing a poem, and the last words he wrote were "God's body."
