After losing 40 lbs on Alternate Day Fasting I was super stuck (I took a three month break and started back up again) - totally stuck. I decided to try "Alternate day Fat Fast" -- OMG, I am moving again. Massively. I lost 3 lbs within just two or three fat fasts. It is my guess that when I don't eat anything, my body releases cortisol - as it perceives a physical stress -- but when I eat the fat, my body registers calories - and reduces the cortisol. I am actually eating more calories now than I was before and losing more weight.

I've fallen into doing this without realising it was a thing. During a 72 hour fast I cheat with tsps of butter when I feel dizzy. Really satisfying and gets me to the finishing line!

I remember seeing a video of Dr. Rhonda Patrick interviewing a german Doctor who is basically a leading global authority on autophagy research. Together in the conversation they stumbled across the theoretical possibility of achieving autophagy and long term fasting benefits by only consuming fat. This was some time ago, and now you speak of the same and remind me that I should consider doing it. I remember wondering about i.e. going a week on a fat fast now and then in order to recycle and rejuvenate my entire body. One of the theoretical big possibilities for people losing weight is to regain skin elasticity and tightness and "shed" loose skin. There's something theoretical to be said for frequent days long fat fasts here. I doubt a study has been performed on this, but it seems hypothetically promising.

Yes!!! I’ve been doing this for a while now...it is so easy to go for days on just fat..I have a spoonful of olive oil, butter, mct oil and goose fat 2-3 times a day (about 600 calories total). I do a 48 hour fat fast once a week 😁👍

I wish I did this years ago, game changer, upping the fat zero carbs my brain fog gone, dropping weight, skin amazing, sleeping better. Incredible, started watching Dr Elizabeth Bright to get menopause symptoms sorted, that’s only a week in, even not craving alcohol and I loved a cpl of drinks a few nights a week.

Very interesting video! I found when I need to do extended periods of physical labor that eating small amounts of very fatty food works well. My stomach isn't stuffed and I don't run out of energy.

I have for the last 6 weeks reduced to almost no bread, i have raised my fats, i am not eating fruit anymore, and i started loosing weight. Now, i need to take next step, and raise more fat, and stop doing the 1x a day carb. I noticed mu energy is a little higher, but mu skin is seeing the biggest positive change..and i swear I have lost more inches than pounds. Thanks for the encouraging video.

Thank you for this. I have hit a plateau with my weight loss after 30 lbs. My ketones dropped too, stayed around 0.3-0.5. I did a 60 hr. fat fast (i had to stop due to fatigue) and then eased back into my normal keto eating. I am past my plateau weight and my ketones are now steadily around 1.0-2.3 range for the past few weeks.
I will be doing fat fast again when i feel like i need a boost, just now i know 2 days are my limit for a fat fast.

I am currently doing this 🙏 had a post workout shake: coconut oil, grass fed butter, evoo, sea salt, an avocado, MCT oil, and pure cream with organic black coffee.

Here is my list for a fast diet pls correct if needful ( 1. SALMON WITH AVOCADO, BUTTERED SPINACH AND CREAM CHEESE OR SOUR CREAM, 2. COFFEE WITH COCONUT MILK, 3. FRIED EGGS WITH BACON AND BUTTER, 4. DARK CHOCOLATE WITH MACADEMIA, WALNUTS & PECANS, 4. SARDINE WITH EVOO & AVOCADO )

Done fat fasting/bulletproof fasting before. Not the go too, but works when I don’t feel like dragging and need a boost but also don’t feel like storing calories!

I am currently on the 3rd day of my water fast with modifications with Mindy pelz. I have had low blood glucose 53, the entire time so I have been eating fat ( keto cups, avacado, mct oil, almond butter) sparingly to bring it up. My keytones are 2.6. I have been wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are of not just doing a water fast so I was glad to find your video.
