I bet mr. miyagi suspected Daniel was being brainwashed by cobra Kai. He already knew the words coming out of Daniel’s mouth was not even him talking and it goes against everything he taught him. It has been years since I saw the movie it just occurred in my mind.

After watching this movie again and re-watching cobra Kai I can't believe Terry silver managed to bring out this side of Daniel all these years since then
