The Karate Kid Part II - Mr. Miyagi Fights: When Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) attacks Daniel (Ralph Macchio) with a spear and destroys his training dojo, Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita) uses his superior karate skills to teach them a lesson.



FILM DESCRIPTION:
After learning that his father is dying, karate master Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita) returns home to Okinawa, bringing his protege, Daniel (Ralph Macchio), with him. In Japan, Miyagi is surprised to discover that his old sweetheart, Yukie (Nobu McCarthy), has remained single. Meanwhile, Daniel is attracted to Yukie's niece, Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita). But romance must be put on hold while Daniel and Miyagi deal with local bullies and long-harbored grudges.

The look or total shock on Chozen’s face when he sees that Miyagi can actually fight is priceless.
As usual however, Miyagi steals the scene. He remains the only character that never raises his hands into a fighting position. He is THAT fast

I always love the look on Miyagi's face during these sequences. Totally serene and emotionless. His look says, 'You DO NOT impress me.'

It sure is interesting to see how Chozen has grown between the Karate Kid 2 and Cobra Kai. He was a punk in Karate Kid but is now a respectable master in Kai. Such a cool redemption story.

Breaking tools with wooden handles like that isn't necessarily as easy as it looks. It takes me a couple tries and a sore knee until I get it right but Miyagi casually snaps it like it was made of paper. Mad respect to Mr. Miyagi. *RIP THE GOAT*

Watching Chozen act this way is heartbreaking after watching him redeem himself in Cobra Kai

Very interesting to see just how sinister Chozen was back in the day. But in Cobra Kai he's become one of my favorite characters. He's grown from a sadistic thug to a skilled fighter and very wise sensei.

Watching these movies as a kid was so great. They spend half of the movie building up how dangerous the bad guy is but when Miyagi walks into the room youre not even worried about him, all youre thinking is "Oh these guys are so screwed now!"

Why do I feel that every time Daniel has a disagreement with someone it's always Mr Myagi's property that ends up getting wrecked....

I love the callback of this fight in cobra Kai season 5, where Chozen showed mercy to terry silver after throwing him to the ground ant pointing the sai to his face like mr miyagi does ist in 2:46

I think this is the only time Miyagi was truly pissed off. And he was still holding back!

I love the way Miyagi always looked his would-be assailants right in the eye. It's almost like he was saying, "Okay, big boy, show me what you've got!"
