Do Christians have to follow Old Testament laws?

One of the common criticisms of Christianity, particularly on moral questions, is that modern followers of Jesus pick and choose parts of the scripture to follow. While Christians are ready condemn ethics on the basis of the Bible, they simply ignore others.

In this video we ask whether this is really true? Have Christians been misreading the Bible?

You never just came out and said, " Jesus said to have ETERNAL LIFE keep the 10 commandments." MATTHEW 19:16-19 So, if Jesus is the new covenant and Jesus is still requiring us to keep the 10 commandments, why are so many preachers and teachers deceiving people saying, that was for the Jews. It is God's laws, all ten of them, including keeping the Sabbath on Saturday, not Sunday, I have Jesus in my life, and will keep the commandments of God, all 10 like I try to do every day of my life. God bless

So how are we going to sacrifice all the 1 year old animals that do not have blemishes every week?

Why did Elohim say that pig and sea food. Mark 7v19, isn't saying the MessiYah said He made all foods-meats (eating with unclean hands). Not reading in context, even Peter's vision, is saying, call no man unclean. Neither passage is talking about unclean food. I'm a Bible believing Spirit filled believer. I'm not Christian.

The Bible is the history, laws and prophecy of the Hebrew people. It's not "based on" or "inspired by" God. The new Testament is renewed covenant. It's not a different covenant that replaces the old testament.

We are not saved by keeping of the law, we are saved by the grace of God. We have not been given permission to disobey God's Laws. It's not wise to teach that we can keep disobeying those laws, they were given that we may have peace. Some laws we keep naturally but some laws we want to dismiss so that we can follow our lusts. Wrong idea.

and faithfully keeps My ordinances.
That man is righteous;
surely he will live, "

No – the simple (& honest) answer is “Yes, they do” but I’ve essentially given up commenting on this Channel as they consistently ignore genuine criticisms or legitimate questions. As I’ve pointed out before – you pick & choose which rules to follow & which to ignore in the NT as well. (Luke 14:26 & Luke 14:33 for instance)
