"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15. Jesus has come to fulfilled the laws because He knows that no one can fulfill the 10 commandments, even if we break one, we are found guilty of all! if we so loved Jesus, I think we would follow everything in His footsteps and keep all His commandments as much ss possible until we see Him again. That's the love we have for Christ.

I don't understand why Jesus would say that the most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.?
Please read Hebrews 10:16:31 I will put My LAWS on their hearts and write them on their mind's ? If we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. ?
How is this possible for the Lord God to put His Laws on our heart's but then us say we don't have to follow them ?
I'm not causing an argument as they settle nothing, but I am asking that you all please read the word of God and test everything that comes from the mouth of men. Jesus is the truth, the life and the way.

I couldn't agree more. I do think that the laws should be followed more. Not out for salvation but out of respect/fear of God.

Just as in the Jewish faith with their incredibly long list of laws for living right, for the Christian also, it is impossible for man to fully obey Gods laws in absolute perfection. Yet the Christian must still strive to obey Gods laws in our love for God. It is only by the saving grace of God through the sacrifice made by Christ Jesus and our belief in Him as the Fathers Son, that our failures to obey even the simplest of the 10 commandments, are wiped clean from the slate. We do not need to live a life of torment racked with guilt for our failures. But we do need to strive to improve ourselves daily always asking God for help in doing so. With Gods help all things are possible. I know that I struggle daily with my continued failures to obey, and it does drag me down, until I remember that its Gods grace alone that saves, not by the amount of good works or being perfect, though I believe that good works are a reflection of our love for God just as God loves his children.

Thats not true, we must continue to keep the laws. Matthew 5:17 :“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. --1 Timothy 6:3-10: If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and understand nothing.

All should be obeyed. As you know we dont need to sacrifice animals any longer due to Jesus
BUT! we need to stay in obedience to the Father.

Sin is transgression of the law. If you say no law then you say sin, if you say no sin then you say law.

Pretty simple. There is no work we can do to gain his grace. It is given freely. Thank you Jesus.

We must obey all the laws of God except the sacrificial laws that went through the mediator Moses, under the priesthood of Leviticus ( Hebrews 7:11-28 ) ; which were laws of works, not of faith . To serve the God of Israel, you must live by faith ; which is repenting of the sins that you have committed against the laws of God, then believing by obedience ; which is keeping the commandments of your mediator Jesus Christ ; which he received from the Father . The grace is Jesus's blood, the free gift that free ALL men from the sin of the first death, the grave ; but it is your faith ( Romans 10:17, " So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God " ) in Jesus that free you from the second death, the lake of fire ; which means repenting like king David did in Psalm 32 & 51 ; then believing by obedience ; which is keeping the commandments of Jesus ; which he received from the Father . What did Jesus say to the man who asked him : What good things must I do to have eternal life ", Jesus answered him and said : KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS ( 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ) . Shalom !

What are the Two Greatest Commandments?

In Matthew 22:36-40 we find a lawyer trying to trap Jesus into saying which is the greatest of the Ten Commandments. Jesus of course outsmarts the lawyer by summing up the Ten Commandments in two by quoting the Old Testament.

Matthew 22:36-40 “Master, which is the great Commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.”

Note carefully that Jesus said “all the law hang on these two.” And all as Jesus clarified means every bit of what God wrote and nothing less. Below you will find the two Old Testament verses that Jesus quoted from and the first verse is “right after” the second reading of the law. So did all the law hang on these two in the Old Testament? There can be absolutely no doubt and especially since Deuteronomy 6:5 is right after the second reading of the Ten Commandments. And since loving God with all your heart covers the first four laws God personally spoke and wrote, then this includes the fourth which no one can argue as the Sabbath Commandment had just been read. Did you get that? The fourth being the Sabbath is a law of love also because Deuteronomy 6:5 says that loving God with all your heart, soul and might is to keep each and every one of the Ten Commandments that had just been read 17 verses earlier. Love of course is eternal and and just one more reason why all Ten Commandments are also eternal.

Deuteronomy 6:5 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.”

Leviticus 19:18 “You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself: I am the LORD.”

So what does this all prove? ALL the law which includes the Sabbath hung on these two Commandments in the Old Testament which no one can dispute, and while Jesus quotes from the Old Testament, He still says ALL the law hang on these two greatest Commandments. So what has changed? Absolutely nothing! Everything God wrote in stone remains totally unchanged just as Jesus promised in Matthew 5:17-19.

Paul also shows that these two Commandments are just a means of summing up the law in the following verses. Romans 13:9-10 “For this, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet; and if there be any other Commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this SAYING, namely, You shall love your neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

If you love God with all your heart which is the greatest Commandment, you will be obeying all Ten but especially the first four as shown by Deuteronomy 6:5 which is right after the Ten Commandments are quoted. And if you love your neighbour as yourself, you will be obeying the last six. Therefore love is fulfilling the law and if you love God with all your heart and your neighbour as yourself, then you will be obeying all Ten Commandments.

The Lord God Almighty is an amazing God. Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ. Works can't save you. no matter how nice you are or how good you are. All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.

Shalom! The Messiah never taught "Tolerance" but "Truth" and with that being said we must note for clarity that He "will" say in that day to "all" those who "think" that they are following Him but are "not" (mainly because of their belief systems) for them to "Depart from Him you who work "Lawlessness" (Matt 7:23) This to me means that we would be serving a Horrible God through His Son that would "give" us His Laws & Commands and then "nail" them to a "cross" and then punish all those who "didn't" follow them with eternal suffering. This is not the teaching of the Messiah. He didn't come to abolish the Laws or the Prophets (Matt 5:17) but to fulfill, to bring to a "fuller" understanding and practice, hence the Law to not murder but to bring it to a spiritual content by teaching that 'even to hate ones neighbor in your heart' has already committed the act of "murder" as with the Commandment to not commit adultery, the Messiah states to "lust" in one's heart for a person married to another has "already" committed adultery. These examples are not "abolishing" the Command of Almighty YAH but showing the world that He is interested in what's in our hearts - this is the part that He sees and acknowledges. True the "Ceremonial" Laws are no longer needed because we have no need for a "human" priest because YAHusha is our Kohen ha'gadol (High Priest) and true there are laws that do not pertain to women, men, to those not living in Yerushalayim etc. But, make no mistake that YAHusha means "Every" word He says; “. . . truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not [a]the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [b]others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [c]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Remember when YAHusha declares for those workers of "lawlessness" to depart from Him He had already said; "Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as ‘Lord, ’ but they still won’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven" (Matthew 7:21, NLT). If our country suddenly did away with our laws the people would run amok and there would be complete and utter chaos - everyone would do as they pleased. But the laws of the land are to protect the people just as the Laws of the Almighty YAH are to protect His people; from themselves and others and of certain eternal destruction . . . So, no the Laws are not done away with and they are to obeyed and followed - Loving YAH means keeping His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome." (1John 5:3) The Laws are only hard for those who "Don't Want to Do Them". The Messiah rebuked the Law Teachers of the day for their adding to the Laws and thereby making the Laws of YAH hard to bear (Matt 23:13-36) - But, we are Not commissioned to obey the "added" things of His Law but His pure unadulterated Law that His Son had No problem in obeying. We are to follow in the footsteps of the Son of the Most High in obedience to the authority of Mighty YAH. "Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen." (Deuteronomy 27:26)
