Christians believe that the Old Testament is God’s holy word. So, why don’t Christians today have to keep all those Old Testament laws about what God’s people could and could not eat, and could and could not do in the Old Testament?

Firstly

If someone obeys all of God's laws except one, that person is guilty of breaking all of them.

This is why it is said

Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who always does good and who never sins.

enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified (declared righteous)

So the penalty for sin is death

For some reason, I am very irritated with this explanation. It seems to me as if this idea is twisted more than any other to promote lawlessness, and 100% of the justification to believe this line of thinking in the first place comes from the apostle Paul.

You're "set free" but then to live righteous lives, but then, you are saying the law of righteousness is done away. "Don't follow the law, just love each other" is the opposite of what Jesus said when he said "because of lawlessness, the love of many shall wax cold". This contradicts the message in Matthew 5:17-20. This contradicts the ideas present throughout all prophecy that with the establishment of the kingdom and the initiation of the messianic age, temples will be built, and there will be a kingdom that follows the laws and ordinances that Moses enacted.

This seems to me like the way it is presented, you are justifying sin, which would be things like the least of the commandments, such as eating pork or shellfish. On a greater level, things like adultery or male homosexuality. So then, you "just love people" and instead of actually walking in Torah, you then will just "make up" your moral standard, picking one thing and getting rid of another, a problem that is the core backbone of the moral degradation of society. You are breaking the "least" of the commandments in Torah, and teaching others to do so also, which Jesus talked about in the before mentioned verse as reducing rewards in heaven.

So then, people, taking this line of thinking as justification, will make up all sorts of "lines" as to what applies, and what does not. Some of it is biblical, such as in Acts 15. However, some of it, people are just making things up. One group, the sabbath is ok to break, to another it is not. One group does not tithe, and another things lack of tithing is for the sinners but that same group thinks homosexuality is ok.

Christianity has become invaded by critters from the swamp of lawlessness and they all need to repent and simply turn back to God in their hearts, which leads to words, which leads to actions - myself and yourself included. All of us have gone astray.

If the Torah isn't important for the future, why are people keeping it biblically in the new heaven and the new earth, such as in Isaiah 66 when, looking upon the corpses of those who have transgressed against the YHVH, people meet from one sabbath to another, and from one new moon to another? Why are ALL nations keeping the Feast of Tabernacles in Zechariah 14 post second coming if the Law isn't important? How is the Law written into our hearts (like in Ezekiel 36) yet we do not actually follow it, or even know what it says?

This is what was referred to by Jesus when he said to the Pharisees, quoting Isaiah: "These people draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, teaching as doctrine precepts by men."

The reason some so called Christians are against God Laws, is because they love SIN.
Sin is the transgression of God's Law, 1st John 3:4.
God's Law tells us not to commit adultery, not to murder innocent people, not to steal, not to drink blood, not to prostitute your daughter. Etc.
Obviously those who teach against God's laws are trying to promote adultery, homosexualliry, drinking blood, prostitution, murder, stealing, tattoos etc.
We didn't end up with Christianity being like Sodom and Gomorrah by accident. Even having homosexual pastors.. It is the planned fruit of the pastors and teachers who have taught against God's Law.

Jesus came not to destroy the law but to fulfill it. That doesn't make the Old Testament law go away. It simply proves how Jesus came as a living example of faithful obedience to God so we may learn what seeking righteousness looks like.. in my opinion. If we as believers of Jesus all believe in the monotheistic concept of life, then we believe in 1 God, 1 Messiah, and 1 Holy Spirit. Base line established... if there is 1 Jesus and we as His followers belong to Him as part of His body (the church), why do we allow such unrighteous division within the body? How far we fall by the hand of the enemy's devices of distraction like politics, tradition, and basic corruption. Jesus is the vine, and we, the branches... how many branches will be cut away over this division? We, as the church, waste precious time disputing doctrine rather than live in faithful obedience in the purity of God's law; love. Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Yet so many spend 30 years surviving on the milk of the word and never leave the bottle to live in righteousness as faithfully obedient children of God we claim to be. This is the problem with new bible versions: they are detrimental to correct theology. Gen 12:3 does not say that all families of the earth shall be bless "through" Abraham, but "in" Abraham. So it is speaking of those who are born again ... of being in Abraham spiritually.

FYI, some of the Old Testament Laws include, not striking your parents, not sleeping with animals, paying your workers on time, and treating widows with respect. So Christians think it's ok to strike your parents, sleep with animals, not pay your workers on time, and disrespect widows?

I would read all the Laws given to Moses, before you say Christians don't have to follow them.

Also, when it comes to eating pork. Ask any nutritionist if it's healthy. It's not. Pigs eat everything. They literally eat shit. Plus they don't sweat. When you eat pork, you're eating shit and sweat. There's a reason why God told us no to eat it.

Reading verses about covenant please be consider the added “OF THE” …
For example the blood OF THE covenant… the ark OF THE covenant…the Mediator OF THE covenant… the tables OF THE covenant… and even the words written on the two tables of stones are called as words OF THE covenant… but OF WHICH covenant?.
You know any verse without having “OF THE “”” to make clearly what is the covenant?

You saw clearly that will be adultery to have two husbands(Satan and Christ) and so is clearly that you cannot have Christ as husband so long time you are still sinning to have Satan as husband.
Seeing that your first husband Satan don’t want to divorce your only one chance is that YOU die in Galatians 2:20(Rom 12:1) so that you can separate from your first husband Satan(the sin) so that you can have Christ as your husband.
This is why you will need to obey Jesus in verses like John 6:44, 45 to be TAUGHT by His Father who beginning with Exodus 24:12 have Laws as TEACHING to have in Galatians 3:24 to bring you to Christ in Galatians 2:20(Rom 12:1) so that after Galatians 2:20 you are free from sins in Romans 6:7 so that as born again in 1John 3:9 1John 5:18 YOU CANNOT SIN ANYMORE having the 10 commandments Exodus 20 as 10 BLESSINGS always telling you that YOU CANNOT SIN ANYMORE which means that you are dead to the law of sin THROUGH the Law of God(
