Isn’t obeying the Sabbath one of the Ten Commandments? So don’t Christians have to obey it today?

The reason the Sabbath was to be remembered was because of creation. It is historical in context not culturally Jewish. The Sabbath was a thing in Eden, in Jesus day and still applicable now.

The people who argue that the old covenant is done away with must realize that Jesus himself kept the law and His disciples kept the law as well including Sabbath even after His resurrection. What is changed is the fact that jews kept them legally as a matter of compulsion but we need to keep it by loving the Father with all our heart, mind, soul and spirit. That's what Christ is talking about.

Where in the Bible does it say “do not keep the sabbath”, I mean the sabbath was established at genesis!

Have we ever thought about why our Lord will tell his disciples: “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day”. Matthew 24:20

I personally cant believe how stereotypical his response is concerning old and new testament. Love God. And love your neighbor. Which one of the 10 commandments summed up does the 4th commandment fall into? And if it was only given as an old covenant to Israel why was it commemorated after creation before Israel's creation. It set a precedent. Remember to rest as God did. Not any day, the sabbath day.
Walk as jesus did.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

The year actually has 13 months, 28 days each = 364 days. Sunday was the beginning of the week not Monday. So actually Saturday is the 7th day.

The question comes down to "Does this law count as fulfilled?"

Reason being: Matthew 5:17-18, Jesus speaking in this passage:
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or
the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Jesus came to fulfill the law: none of it can pass until it is fulfilled.
If Jesus has fulfilled part of the law, then what does that mean?

Well, most Christians already live part of that belief whether they know it or not: if it's fulfilled, it no longer is binding on us.

-Do you believe you need Levite priests sacrificing animals for you? No: Jesus finished that. Those laws were foreshadowing His perfect sacrifice. (John 19:30, Hebrews 10:17-21)
-Do you eat pork? Take a look at Acts 10:15 and Acts 15:20 and see if that's clean to do.

So, if Jesus has fulfilled part of the law, what of the fourth of the Ten Commandments, to keep the Sabbath?
Let's let the Bible speak. Colossians 2:16-17:
"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

Don't, however, just take my word or Frank's for it. Research it yourself and see (especially in context): seek the truth, and don't make it about 'being right' over someone else. Let God be true, and all the world a liar.

I like and respect Frank and watch his stuff often, but his answer here is frustrating and sad. Jesus himself said in Matt 5 he who breaks the least of these commandments will be least in the kingdom. The Greek word used for break means to loosen or unbind. Frank said the sabbath isn't binding on Christians. Jesus said the opposite. And if we interpret Paul so say something contradictory to this, we've misunderstood Paul. Jer 31 and Hebrews 8 speaks of the new covenant. Who are they speaking to? Israel and Judah, and then eventually just Israel. How do gentiles become a part of that covenant? Through faith in Jesus(Rom 11, Eph 2). We become a part of his covenant ppl. The sabbath was given to his covenant ppl, which gentiles in Christ now become a part of. The Lord doesn't have to repeat in the NT a law that was established at the foundation of the world, written in stone, which states "remember". No disrespect to Frank but I pray ppl let the Bible speak for itself and take this to the Lord in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth. Don't take my word for it. God bless everyone.

That’s not what it says. What is says is “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.” Why would God change when God said, I don’t change. So how are you going to obey 9 laws and omit one. I haven’t been able to find were God changed it and said it could be any day. I like Frank but I disagree here.

JESUS SAID THIS "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

"for whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point he is guilty of all and hereby we do know that we know Him if we keep his commandments" "he that saith i know him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him" James 2:10 john 2:3-4

Yes of course it's absolute, it should never be removed from the 10 commandments

Fellow Christians seem to forget the Sabbath was only resurfaced in Exodus. The seventh-day (saturday/sabbath) has been sanctified by God ever since he finished creation. So even if your theology says sabbath is no more or Jesus is the sabbath now. It doesn't change the fact that God sanctified the sabbath at Genesis 2. All said with Truth and love ❤️🙏 So in other words, the sabbath day was never even a "covenant" to begin with. It is the eternal mark of God after creation. And that is, on the Saturday.

Wow, how can someone literally be 100% wrong???

The Preacher is fudging since Col2:16 doesn't say not to keep Sabbaths and holy days, it says don't let people judge you when you do keep them!
Colossians 2:16 KJV — Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Paul can't decide not to keep them, he doesn't have that authority and that's not what he says!

Further, the Preacher says the Sabbath is the only commandment not repeated in the New Testament? It's mentioned 45 times just in the gospels! That's way more than any other commandment. He goes on and says the Covenant is obsolete? All God's Covenants are never obsolete, they all last forever, Matt5. Have heaven and Earth passed away?

This is the same tired old church lie about a new covenant. Hebrews 8 is quoting Jeremiah 31:31 which says kodesh (חָדָשׁ) which means renew, not brand new. There is not a brand new moon every month. It's the same old moon but it is renewed each month. The Covenant is renewed after Jesus, made fresh, but it's still the same covenant!

Sabbath is the sign of the covenant. If you change Sabbath, you are not part of God's covenant.

Sunday Sabbath is all Catholic. Are you a Catholic?

This is blasphemous. God said that the covenant is everlasting. Jesus said that nothing shall pass from the law until heaven and earth pass. You’re calling them liars. You’re a Paulian.

We're the Gentiles
There's nothing like remember the Sabbath day in the New Testament
What is even Sabbath? Are we the Gentiles to observe it as the Jews?
In Christ there's no Jew or gentile, free or bond... The true worshippers worship in truth and in spirit
