being binge watching your videos about hair loss and your journey, im cheering a lot for you, keep posting consistently as well, keep the positivity, you are really good at spreading info about that, i might consider using topical finasteride because of your videos, havent start losing much hair but see some potential stages in my temples, and thanks to you i can save that. im thinking about microneedling and finasteride.

I’m amazed at how fast I was able to reverse my receding temples with fin+min+dermarolling. Great progress btw!

Good video !!!, , , I’m a hairstylist and salon owner, I’m not bald (see my current avatar pic) but my hair is definitely not as thick as it used to be so I’ve been experimenting a little bit with Minoxidil, Rosemary oil and Peppermint oil just to see what felt ok in my hair for potentially using long term.
Liquid versions of Minoxidil that contain Propylene Glycol made my scalp itch like crazy so I switched to the foam version, dries faster and has no Propylene Glycol.
The foam Minoxidil is challenging to put on my scalp because I still have quite a bit of hair so I put the foam in a small glass jar, run hot water on the jar to melt the foam into a liquid and apply with a dropper directly onto my scalp, that application method works great, hopefully I’m not affecting the efficiency of the foam by melting it.
In experimenting with Peppermint oil and Rosemary oil, used with a carrier solution, my hair feels great and not greasy but how effective in fact are essential oils for hair growth, that subject seems to be highly debated, , , I guess if I was a mouse or a rat, essential oil’s would be greatly beneficial according to studies of essential oils.
I purchased a laser cap about 5 months ago but have seen no results so far, it’s returnable next month for a full refund, hopefully the seller honors that refund policy if I decide to return the laser cap, but then again laser is supposed to be used for longer than 6 months to see results supposedly.
As a professional in the hair industry I’ve always used good hair products, I agree that shampoos and conditioners probably don’t have an effect on hair loss but I have been using Nioxin products for almost my entire adult life but I have no idea if the Nioxin products have helped me from going completely bald.
I think I suffer more from follicular miniaturization more than actual baldness or hair loss.
Hope you enjoyed my long rant, any opinions from what I wrote regarding my hair loss journey would be appreciated.
Cheers, Davyo

I wanna share my experience for all those that done research on finasteride and are scared of side effects. When I first started I got one of the common side effect of watery semen but other than that I was fine, it was only 4 months when I noticed a lump behind my left nipple, considering I’m quite lean and underweight I knew it wasn’t fat, got it tested and it was gyno which was infused cuz of finasteride. This made me go off finasteride for a few months, gyno went away, and now I’ve changed my dosing to 0.5 and I’ve been fine ever since. Basically my point is, even if u have a bad experience don’t rule out trying things to save ur hair cuz I’m a couple years ur gonna regret not trying

Unfortunately I got Male Patern Hair loss at 14 and it’s been really tough the past few years, I’m 17 rn and am done with denying reality. I’m going to buy a Dermal Roller And Minoxidil to save as much hair as possible as I can until my 18th birthday next year when I can start taking Finasteride. These Videos have really been awesome cause I feel just a bit less alone on my hair loss as non of my friends are dealing with it(they’re also 17-16 so I makes sense lol). It’s something that really takes a chunk out of my confidence and I’ll probably end up bald one day but I’m going to try and preserve my hair untill I feel I’m ready to let go of it.

Your hair, for a guy treating Alopecia, looks great. As a warning to all, be careful with Finasteride! It can cause significant sexual side-effects. It did with me and, thank God, my problems stopped when I stopped the medication. Going bald sucks but it's nothing compared to permanent sexual side-effects.

1 year on fin and about 3 months on min, hair is looking good but haven't seen any changes from the min, I'm gonna start microneedling and hopefully it boosts the growth

You are totally right! Kudos to you. I went through the same thing and spend probably more on 15000g of “snake oil” of hair clinics. I told doctors for years I was suffering for hair loss and they dismissed me. ALWAYS get a second, third and forth opinion. I’m currently on 2.5 mg of Finasteride, taking 150mg of spironolactone (I’m female) and 1.75mg of minoxidil. I’m increasing my dose of minoxidil slowly, till I have issues with growing facial hair 🫤.

Is rosemary oil useful? I researched that rosemary oil is as effective as minoxidil.

I have started using since last week, twice a week

From a researcher here: finasteride halves the life of PSA levels which can mean prostate cancer can go undetected as it halves how high your levels actually are. This can lead to cancer progressing prior to a diagnosis and a late diagnosis. I wouldn’t be advertising finasteride without explaining the potential affects here. Please make sure this is prescribed by your GP and is actually required so that this is taken into account for screenings if and when these levels need to be checked.
