Let's go around the grocery store and show the foods that cause you gas and bloating. It easy to swap these foods out of your diet and feel much better after you do that.

High-FODMAP & bloating fruits include: Apples, apricots, cherries, figs, mangoes, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums and watermelon.

Low-FODMAP & bloating fruits include: Unripe bananas, blueberries, kiwi, limes, mandarins, oranges, papaya, pineapple, rhubarb and strawberries.

High-FODMAP & bloating vegetables include: Asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, chicory leaves, globe and Jerusalem artichokes, karela, leeks, mushrooms and snow peas.

Low-FODMAP & bloating vegetables include: Bean sprouts, capsicum, carrot, choy sum, eggplant, kale, tomato, spinach and zucchini.

I always add a carrot to beans and lentils when I cook them. The carrot gets rid of most of the bloating issue.

After soaking the bean over night, cook them with a garlic glove & that also helps with the gas.

When I was growing up my mom would start her dried pintos to boil. Then she would put a teaspoon of baking soda in. It would foam up. She would pour out the water and rinse with hot water until the water was clear. Then she would cook them. We never had gas. What I want to know is why the water turned green after she put in the baking soda and is that green what causes gas.

What helps too is boiling fresh sliced ginger and you drink it like your tea. My Dad adds honey for sweetness, I like it straight up. We like the organic ginger from Costco.

Finally realized this morning after trying to get out of bed despite being extremely gassy to the point that I could barely walk, that it's my diet. Had broccoli before bed. Chips and salsa before that. I can't handle some foods anymore. About to turn 63. Very good video

Hi Bobby! Thanks for the video. I’ll definitely keep those in mind when my stomach doesn’t feel right.
You can also chew on coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and even fennel seeds to relieve gas.
I’m times you’re going to eat inflammatory foods when you’re out to eat or at a friends house so I thought I’d put that out there. I think ginger and other spices also relieve gas and it’s good to keep the pantry well stacked instead of relying on medicines like Gas-X Alka-Seltzer, or Tums.

I use to eat Big Red gum but I noticed everytime I have it, it blow my stomach up like balloon 🎈 & I constantly have gas. So I stopped eating gums period. Bobby, because of you I have learned a lot of what to eat & what not to eat. For I suffer from diabetes so I have to be careful what I eat👍👌 thanks a million Bobby 👍 keep it going mate 👍 love from the UK 🇬🇧

I would love to see some dinner ideas under the low Fodmap guidelines as we have a new wheat allergy diagnosis and are needing some good ideas!

Gingin's ginger candy has helped me with stomach pains and heartburn problems. I suffered years and saw a specialty doc and they had no cure besides take 2 OTC heartburn pills for the rest of your life... I know it's candy but I was shocked how well it helped with my problems!

Happy Easter, great video. My daughter suffers from this and gets constipated, the docs haven’t figured out what’s causing it. I’ve been following you and, your recommendations have helped us eat more balanced diet. I will definitely start eliminating these foods which we had been eating thinking it was better for her. Adding yellow aesfotida powder also takes gas out of lentils etc. Hari Krishnas use it to replace garlic and onion in dishes. We used to have a vegetarian cooking show in Australia called Cooking with Korma, he always used yellow aesfotida powder.
