Thank you, Dr. Arun. I was actually having a diet soda while watching this video. I had not heard anything against it although I suspected it wasn't great for me for some reason I was postponing making a drastic decision. After watching your video, I know as a fact, that was the last diet soda I am going to have.

Sorry, but as a pre-diabetic who drank regular sodas for years and didn't take care of himself well, I can flat out tell you for a fact that diet soda DOES NOT affect your A1C. Switching to a low carb, low sugar, high fiber, high protein diet WITH diet soda as part of that diet not only lowered my A1C to near normal levels, I lost 30lbs in the process, and I continue to maintain and lose weight. Most of these "proven facts" you're trying to push out have been debunked. Diet soda does NOT increase my appetite. I'm eating less now than I ever did when I drank regular soda. I don't crave anything sweet because the diet soda already fulfils that desire. Again, it has NOT increased my A1C. My blood sugar levels with a full low carb dinner AND a diet soda rarely raises more than 10 to 15 points and usually stays well below the 140 level suggested. You act like you know this stuff for a fact, but I have to live with being pre-diabetic every single day because I DIDN'T take care of myself. And since switching to a low carb diet with high protien and fiber, and since switching to diet sodas, my health has nothing but improved.

Last night I had a large Diet Coke with chips and salsa. Then today, I had another 16 oz Diet Coke. (I don't normally drink Diet Coke every day - just once in a while). Suddenly, I noticed my stomach felt so swollen! I am currently working on losing weight, but not seeing any success after 1-year of working out and trying to control food. I'm still about 40 lbs overweight. While having the cola, I noticed the circumference around my midsection was noticeably bigger! So, I got online and searched out Diet Cola and weight loss. I found this video. AND, as I suspected, one of the first words mentioned was METABOLIC SYNDROME! That word was already in my mind even though I didn't know for sure what it was. Thank you Dr. Dhir for helping me see how terrible these drinks are for me!!

Hey the stuff you are saying is interesting, and I enjoy listening to it. Although I just watched a video from greg Doucette saying that diet soda is better then water and looking at this one study with weight loss. I don't know if you read these comments but could you react to his video please 🙏
