What engine comes to mind when you think of 'worst engine of all time'?

Moms had a 99 Expedition with the 5.4 2v for 23 years and just got to say I get saying that about the 3 valve but leave the 2v out of it she's got nothing to do with this. Only problem it has is the spark plug issue but that's not even that bad only happened once to us and it has 250, 000 on her

My obs gmc pickup, regular visits to Jim, my independent car care provider and a wash occasionally and my shop truck should last a long time!

The 6.0 PowerStroke from Ford comes to mind.

Avoid the overpriced EcoBoost trucks at all cost.

I owned a 98 Expedition and had the sparkplug blow out. Luckily had a guy repair it. Liked the truck otherwise.

Here’s a truck no one seems to ever remember, the Jeep Comanche with the 2.5L AMC I4. I owned one for a few years until my family outgrew it and I upgraded to a Caravan. Great little truck on paper. Good gas mileage for a low tech 4 banger. Could take a beating and keep on going as long as it never got wet. The engine electronics were prone to failure if they came into contact with any more moisture than fog. It literally left me stuck in a car wash.

Glad to see the Dodge 4.7 here. I owned a Ram 1500 with one. It was the engine that was so good, until it wasn’t. Decent fuel economy and punched way above its weight in power delivery. But blown head gaskets, & the infamous clogged heater core that required cutting your dash to pieces to replace proved it was poorly designed.

Before I watch this I’m just gonna assume they’re all chevys

The Triton 3v are total trash. My dad had a Navigator that died at 150k miles. Got another Navigator and was RELIGIOUS about oil changes.... still died at under 150k miles. Do not buy!

On the first gen 5.7 hemis you also forgot about the valve seat drop which is a really common occurrence on those motors.

First for truck on the list that trucks not bad if you get 4.6 v8. Also i think they made a v6 one. Only bad thing is replacing the intake manifold. The metal ones leak.

Yo the ford engine that has the plugs blow out isn't the 3 valve with the nightmare plugs you show. It's the regular style plugs and it's also on the 4.6. I've done more then I'd like to tell you about

Not an enthusiasts but you can make the 6.0l and the 6.4l reliable you just have to rebuild the damn thing and unless you really want this think it isn't really a good idea just get either a 7.3l or a 6.7l powerstroke if you want the diesel in a ford pick up

I noticed that you say many of these are fine as long as you keep up on maintenance. Shouldn’t you do that anyway?
