0:17 _"...From Austrasia in modern Germany to Tours in modern France"._ What do you mean by this ?

1st, Austrasia wasn't "modern Germany", nor "in" it. Austrasia comprised the east of France (about a quarter+ of it), a small part in the West of Germany, Belgium east of the Schelde, and parts of the Netherlands. Its capital was Metz. During the periods of _Francia_ unification, which happened at each new generation where only one brother was left (Francia = Neustria+Austrasia+Aquitaine+Burgundy, sometimes +Lombards, once +Bavaria but that was later I think under Charlemagne), the capital was Paris - in Neustria. Else, and all along this Merovingian Dynasty of _Lazy Kings_, Austrasia's capital was Metz (although some of its kings governed from Rheims, Trier or Cologne - Cologne once or twice, especially for one queen who fled there in fear of assassination). And they didn't rule ziltch, all was under the hands of barons who were lineages of "Mayors of the Palace", as Charles Martel was one of them, actually the last one of them since his son becem King, beginning the Carolingian Dynasty (having real roots in the Arnulfians - a Bishop from Metz with some Celtic Gaul roots and also Frank, who knows it was quite intermingled with polygamy).

2nd, can't you name the city where Charles Martel came from (where he was "the Mayor of the Palace") ? Or where he was born (as well as his great grand father and we don't know much further back in time about the Arnulfians) ? 3rd, the Salian Franks before Clovis (coming from N.O. of Metz) aren't from any of "modern Germany" territory. So, what are you trying to say ? In that era, "Germany" was simply a chaotic zone with barbarians, Saxons and such, incapable of territorial management, economic development and education (to name a few), too occupied to fight each others like enraged animals, if that's what you want to say.

3rd During this Battle, Charles Martel was "comander in chief", and his army was constituted by Frankish Gauls from Aquitaine and Burgundy, and Austrasia+Neustria Franks.
