Can confirm. Dieted hard enough that I ate a nectarine once and it was so good I literally turned to my wife and said "do people know about this!?!!" like it was some kind of secret garden of flavor.

My man! I'll easily eat through a 1lb of grapes, a whole cantaloupe or honeydew, piña, while binging on movies and still get hungry. I rather be overeating on fruits rather than consuming low nutrient dense junk any day :)

Honey crisp apples. About .5 calories per gram and literally as sweet as table sugar. I eat at least one or two per day. They are significantly sweeter than red delicious. Try them!

Great video. I've seen a shocking amount of people express serious concern that you can over eat fruit far more easily than you really can. I've also seen some research that fresh fruit and vegetables maybe helps prevent "overtraining syndrome" in athletes. Would be interesting to see you cover that!

I can attest to the sweet tooth part. When I was cutting out at least 80-90% processed sugar from my diet, I could suddenly taste more natural sweetness, even from vegetables. Fruits tasted literally like candy and was a great substitute for any sugary processed treat. Didn't feel the need for any processed sweet stuff, except for the occasional chocolate :)

I love how passionate Dr. mike is about fruit! Had a personal trainer once that was guilting me for eating f’ng bananas, among offering other terrible diet advice. He was a dumb ass.

Fruit tasted sooo much better after awhile of being on a diet that when I went back off and had a piece of betty crocker birthday cake it tasted pretty gross due to how much crap sugar is in cake box mix. Eating fruit at night after I did cardio was really tasty that it changed my perspective even moreso despite the fact that I already liked fruit to begin with.

Thanks for the vid Dr. Mike, as a person who includes a serving of fresh fruit with each meal i was taken aback when i heard on the YT from a doctor that fructose causes a response in the body to start storing fat more as if it prepares for winter mode, he mentioned also a study on mice were they compared two groups one had fructose and the other didn't, but i am not sure if the reason of the fructose group gained more weight was that fructose increased their appetite more so they just ate more and got fatter. I would love to hear your opinion on this.

My absolute go to for sweet tooth filling has been a cup of frozen triple berry blend from Costco. They taste so good for the carb/calorie investment.

Totally agree. I get bags of mixed frozen fruits - all the berries, mangoes, pineapples, peaches, grapes, and I peel oranges when I have time. Throw them in a bowl, microwave, boom. Basically 0 effort. If the sweet tooth is really killing me, tiny bit of honey or whipped cream on top. I love it and pre workout it makes me feel great.
