The breathing exercise has a profound effect and should be practiced in the way it is explained. Always do the breathing exercise in a safe environment (e.g. sitting on a couch/floor) and unforced.

Never practice the exercises before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or in any other environment/place where, should you pass out, a serious injury could occur. Wim Hof breathing may cause tingling sensations and/or lightheadedness. If you’ve fainted, it means that you went to far. Take a step back next time.

Do not practice the method during pregnancy or when having epilepsy. Persons with cardiovascular health issues, or any other (serious) health conditions, should always consult a medical doctor before starting with the Wim Hof Method.

Bro. Just after the first excersise I started to genuinely smile and sort of laugh. And after the last one I actually felt 'high' for a lot of minutes. I'll take this as a part of my physical exercises routine. Big thanks for this man !

I have done somatic Breathwork a couple weeks ago. It is very similar in terms of breathing, however much much much longer. I believe the practitioner had me breathing for about 2-3 min like that before my first breath hold. At that point my body was going through all kinds of things. Somatic Breathwork has a trauma release purpose. Out of no where I started crying. My heart felt like it was breaking all over again from family issues years prior. The practitioner said that our bodies can physically hold on to traumas and this helped release it and allowed me to completely let go of the pain and hurt associated with it. This Breathwork does help, and unlike DMT or any other plant or animal medicines, if it is too much you can always stop breathing, with the medicines, you only get to stop when it is done with you. As someone who is currently struggling really badly with my mental and physical health and has been for too many years to count, I feel like I’m in a constant state of anxiety and honestly, doing these techniques just made me feel the calmest and most at peace I have felt in years. I can’t remember the last time I actually felt relaxed. Amazing. Thank you so much for teaching us all these methods. I’ll definitely be using this information going forward. Thank you again for teaching your viewers these practices. If doing it once can make this much of a difference, I can’t even imagine what doing them regularly will do. this is one of my first time really meditating especially recently and i really caught myself off guard. i didnt know it would be so easy to hold my breath for a minute and thirty seconds with your help. i was able to stay so calm and convince myself not to breathe or give up and that was so reassuring. thank you for the really easy guide!!

Just tried it for the first time and I definitely feel better than I did before!!I’m more calm, more at peace, am not absolutely dreading work tonight and just overall good. My body felt tingly and super relaxed. Thank you so much for this technique I’m saving this video and I will definitely be doing this everyday now 😄

I don’t usually comment on videos or on the internet at all but here goes:
While doing this for the first time and during the last set of hold for over a minute… i didn’t think i could do it cause i barely held my breath on the first round.
But thank God you knew exactly when you say along the lines “you got this, you’re doing fine relax”
And so i held that breath.
And then there was a unique brief experience of bright lights in my heads and a moment of bliss. And then finally the exhale.
That was cool.
