The important thing is the angle between the body and the legs. The closer you get to 90 degrees, the more the quads work, the more closed it is (the closer the body and legs stick together), the more glute work will be done. All this taking into account the existence of a kinetic chain and understanding that many muscles actually work at the same time.

Nah it’s all about how u put your mind to it. You can make the glues take over in almost any quad exercise. Just takes focus

If you really wanna get your glutes : front foot elevated lunges, slow on the way down, quick on the way up

What hits your glutes is controlling the amount of hinging between your hips and knees so you keep tension on the glutes as opposed to the hamstrings

No! Guys sumo squat (wide foot placement) targets glutes. Traditional squat foot placement when done PROPERLY targets quads

I can't seem to get my glutes to activate much even if I change my angles and weight distribution when I'm doing lunges or squats. I've been quad dominant since I was a kid, unfortunately. I can get them going really well with floor work, though!
