I lived in Trenton for 2 years. It's a rough town. But some of the BEST people I ever knew are residents of Trenton. The Perry St Baptist church is one of the most caring and compassionate congregations you will ever meet.

Damn our city just got direspected so hard. Trenton is the only place I know . It's my home no.matter what some statistics say.

I'm from Trenton, and white city. I got my courage and strength from Trenton and learned what to do and not to do. I don't live there anymore but my degree came from Mercer county community and I went to Trenton high school. People that make it out the hood are blessed and lucky.

I lived around Trenton my whole life, my first girlfriend, taught in the schools, owned businesses out there- My honest first-hand experience now that I have lived in the bay area for the last seven years, I would take the people of Trenton any day over the weirdos out here. Don’t come to Trenton if you feel like you’re too good for blue-collar folks, or easily intimidated by urban culture. You can look me up – I own and operate businesses in the most expensive place to live in the country- but Trenton has got more energy, hustle and soul than any vibe you find out here.

You talk about crime? Try to walk around Oakland. There are hordes and hordes of people shooting up drugs and living right in the street out here. Having rich comparative experience I strongly disagree with you about Trenton and Mercer County. I can’t even go to the famous Golden Gate Bridge without seeing Trenton, they are the ones who made the fucking steel.
I’m in a place in the country where they have cross dressing story hour for three-year-olds. You can say Trenton is stuck in the 80s or old-fashioned, but you’re going to find a realness in the people and the type of organic diversity that you’re not gonna see in many other places in this country.

I was born and raised in Trenton NJ and I’ve had 5 children here they are all grown now. I’m proud to say that my children turned out to be just fine. This is a beautiful city it’s the bad and evilness in people that make them do bad things. I like living here. If you don’t like it then don’t visit😀😀😀😀😀😀!

94000 houses, I’m there LOL

It is too bad for Trenton because it is actually in a somewhat of an ideal location. It is a riverfront city, accessible to NYC by train, and accessible to the shore points via 195. It is funny how Princeton (same county) is like another planet and it is in close proximity to it.

Your mathematics is suspect. 94 is not 4.6% lower than 226.

What traffic 😂😂😂 he must of never been here

You're not exactly wrong. But It's kinda hard to take this video seriously when you put almost zero footage of Trenton in the video and clearly never actually went to the city to visit.

Great job! You nailed it. I have lived here more than 2 decades and your assessment is spot on.

This is a poorly done, misleading, and outright dishonest video. For one, $94, 000 (the median home price in Trenton, according to the video's maker) isn't 4.6% lower than $226, 000 (the median home price nationally). You don't have to be a former math teacher like me to see that. Secondly, most of the photos are not from Trenton. I'm a native Trentonian. I know. Thirdly, regarding traffic as a reason not to move here, you're ignoring the fact that over 25, 000 state employees enter the city every day since we're the state capital. Traffic is only an issue on a handful of major streets or highways during the morning and afternoon commute. Even then, it pales in comparison to much of the Garden State Parkway or NJ Turnpike, especially within 15-20 miles of Manhattan. Do better.

As a New Jersey native, why would anyone want to move to Trenton? Politicians that are in the state house don’t even live there 😂

I moved to Florham Park New Jersey ( morris county ) from Houston Texas in 1975 when I was 8 years old. I left that awful neighborhood in 1995.
Worst people in the world, had nothing but problems with lowlife neighbors. It was a place where everybody hated everybody else. I witnessed countless examples of assault and batteries, gross acts of arson, threats, beatings, knifings, all this and a predominantly white upper middle-class area where it was expensive to live. Go figure! In 1975 I and my family moved to New Jersey, I was moving to the worst place in the world and I didn't even know it.

I was born and raised in trenton. It was really nice when I was young. A lot of good Italian restaurants bakery's pizzarias etc. But it really went to hell in the 90's. We all picked up and got outta there. It's a shame

The crime RATE might be going down because even bad guy don't like high crime rates. Too much competition.
