As a devout Christian who loves the content of the Book of Enoch, it's not canon because it's not written by Enoch, it was written in the 2nd Century BC. Enoch had been raptured into heaven millennia before that. However, it is a very important 2nd Temple Literature book, and it is useful for teaching us the cultural and spiritual context of Judaism leading up to the time of Jesus. Also everything that is biblical in the book of Enoch is extrapolated from other OT books such as Genesis (ch. 6 specifically), Daniel, and others, making the inclusion of it unnecessary. We're not losing any revelation.

In fact the Book of Jude in the NT quotes from Enoch. Not because it's Scripture, but because it's an important theological work that is accurate because of it's observations drawn from other Scriptures.

Keep in mind, the Jews didn't consider this book canonical either, either in Jerusalem or in Alexandria (where there was a larger OT canon). By "banning" this book from the canon, we were simply agreeing with the OT canon that the Jews preserved until the coming of the Messiah. Even the main difference between Protestants and Catholic canons is whether we accept the Jerusalem canon, or the Alexandrian canon.

Neither canon has Enoch, because the author is falsely calling himself Enoch, the great grandfather of Enoch. Which is false, and therefore uninspired and non-canonical.

I'll leave with this, Christians SHOULD read Enoch and other apocryphal and pseudepigraphal books. They are very very informative and useful. But they are not God-breathed works.

If you're curious look up Dr. Michael Heiser's stuff on Enoch and other non-canonical books.

This book helped me have an understanding of my confused current life. Not everyone is ready for this knowledge, but the ones who are we have much to do. I pray for strength, courage, forgiveness, mercy, and love as He awakens in the hearts of all. He is coming sooner than we think, Remember, Repent, Return ❤

I believe that the Greek Gods and Egyptian gods were the watchers or fallen angels who masqueraded as gods. It all makes sense to me and the book of Enoch explains it all. That’s why it wasn’t included in the King James Bible.

Jesus Christ died for all of our sins. He died the death we all deserved. He was the perfect one who never sinned once, but he loved us so much he decided to die for us so our sins would be paid for and we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven before God the Father blamelessly. He is the living son of God who wants to know us and have a personal relationship with us. No matter what you have done no matter how far gone you think you are Jesus can and will save you. All you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Believe that he died on the cross for your sins and had a bodily resurrection 3 days later. We cannot be saved by our works but by faith in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Christ. You will have joy, happiness, love, and peace beyond understanding.

Jesus himself avoided the controversy over the Book of Enoch, but in a silent manner, he endorsed it when he told the Sadducees that "in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."

In nine studies of the KJV Bible, I have yet to find any other scripture written, before Jesus came and said this, where it was said that the angels were not supposed to marry! That information is only in the Book of Enoch. Clearly, he knew that it was there and expected them to know it. He confirmed exactly what was said on this matter in the Book of Enoch. Therefore, it existed in his time and probably before. It was not just dreamed up and written by someone after his death.

It was the Catholic Church that banned the books, I've got then & read them found them enlightening, now I know where Goliath came from. Good read.

The book of Enoch needs to be read in every church across the universe. It is the most important and insightful books in the Bible that could shake a lot of hard hearted stiff necked people loss. It's powerful. May God grant us all eyes to see and ears to hear. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen 🕊 ⚓️ 💦 🌿

I've read Enoch 1. It touched me deeply because it gave me a glimpse of happenings that we attribute to religion, but which really happened. You cannot but meditate every time you read a chapter, to meditate about the beginning of mankind.

It was removed because it wasn't regarded as scripture by the Hebrews and thus has no place in the Old Testament

The books in the bible were chosen in order to show evidence for Jesus being Christ. These other books were omitted, not forbidden because they did not serve that purpose.

Just because a book was not included in the Biblical canon doesn’t mean that there was no truth to be found in those books, they were merely deemed to not be divinely inspired

How can the Book of Enoch be REMOVED from the Bible when it was never in the Bible in the first place?
At the time the Bible was cannonised, there were many books that was not considered to be cannonised and one of them was the Book of Enoch.
There were numerous versions of 'Book of Enoch' and the problem was that none of them tells the same story when compared synoptically. Also, they were not as old as any of the books of the old testaments as they were written from the 1st century onwards.

Nevertheless, like many other not-cannonised-into-the-Bible literatures, the Book of Enoch is an amazing read, it its own right.

That book of Enoch was not "removed" from the Bible because it was never part of the either Hebrew or the Christian canon. These pseudo-historians on youtube are simply the worst.

Jesus never mentioned anything from the book of Enoch. Interestingly enough, he DID say "Do not be deceived..."

The book was removed because in 1st Enoch : 71, "Enoch" claims that he himself is the Messiah instead of Jesus.. along with many other reasons.

Originally the Bible has 83 books. It now has 27. Man has destroyed it to create the athiest.
