Michael, I'd like to point that the traditional interpretation of Enoch 71:14 by Ethiopian Orthodox Christians (who still hold Enoch to be canon scripture) is that he is called " *a* son of man", not " *that* Son of Man", according to the article *The Identity of the Son of Man in the Traditional Ethiopian Commentaries of 1 Enoch* by Daniel Assefa. Enoch is still one of the best books for biblical cosmology, Gen 6 theory, and many other things. Read all books. Don't let anyone be your guide but the spirit of Gid. And sometimes, the way others read things isn't the way youll read them.

I don't follow the book of Enoch, but it does speak of Christ when it talks about the righteous one with God. It's a trinitarian-like reference to a symbiotic person that's with God.

The next verse literally refutes what you are claiming, you are using a mistranslation.

Enoch 71:15-16
And he said unto me: ‘ He proclaims unto thee peace in the name of the world to come; For from hence has proceeded peace since the creation of the world, And so shall it be unto thee for ever and for ever and ever. And all shall walk in his ways since righteousness never forsaketh him: With him will be their dwelling-places, and with him their heritage, And they shall not be separated from him for ever and ever and ever.

There’s obviously three people here.
And he(the Angel) said unto me(Enoch): ‘ He(Messiah) proclaims unto thee(Enoch) peace in the name of the world to come;

Edit: before anyone starts saying “this is solely for the R.H. Charles translation and is rejected by scholars.”

Look up Ronald K Brown and Joseph Lumpkin who both used the same wording in chapter 71 as well.

Also if you consider Enoch is one of the witnesses to return in the end of days
Then that will bring more context to that passage

THE HEAD OF DAYS is speaking to Enoch and THE HEAD OF DAYS is telling Enoch that Righteousness will not forsake him (Enoch), because Enoch had been that good. That would s a straightforward reading if the verse.

The Angel speaking in 71 is talking about the Son of Man Figure to Enoch.

14. And he (i.e. the angel) came to me and greeted me with His voice, and said unto me ‘ This is the Son of Man who is born unto righteousness, And righteousness abides over him, And the righteousness of the Head of Days forsakes him not.’
