Haha honestly I thought my college essays had to be like this to get into the top schools before writing them, so I had convinced myself I wouldn't get into the schools I wanted b/c of how I wrote. Was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. My best advice is to just write how you normally would write and then edit your paper afterwards, more so changing sentences rather then specific words to sound smart.
