Join me for this full body Pilates workout. All exercise are performed in a seated position and are perfect for seniors and beginners. You will feel great after working on our muscles to improve posture, core strengthening, and stretching.
If you enjoy my chair yoga workouts, you will LOVE chair Pilates!
Please make sure you are seated in a sturdy chair that does not have side arms. A couch or lazy boy type chair will NOT provide enough support for this workout. A dinning chair or folding chair that has a back will work well.

Simply brilliant exercise routine! I just loved it! I have lower back issues and cannot do regular Pilates anymore, this was very refreshing! 62 years old and this was challenging but I can see where it is doable! I have done yoga but want to try Pilates. I need to strenghten muscles and core. You have a pleasant encouraging manner and I love how you explain the movements and how they benefit us. Thank you!

I used to exercise faithfully until I got very ill a couple of years ago. After a very long time away from all exercises this is a very comfortable segue back into a daily routine! Your voice is very soothing also which makes it easy and relaxing. Thank you for your expertise!

I am 30 years old with limited capabilites to a bad heatstroke injury and I have recently been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. I used to be very proficient with my workouts before. Now I thought I wouldn't be able to find an exercise that i could do without aggravating my injuries and conditions.
My wife suggested looking into chair yoga and this is the first video I found. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have this. Thank you so much for these chair exercises. They are wonderful!

I sit at a desk job in front of a computer most of the day and came across your video. Thank you so much! Didn't change from work clothes and just did it! Thank you so much! I'm so glad I found your video. I love to paint and spend hours doing that every day and often without a break....just sitting, and I know that's bad for me. I'm 72 years old and really need to keep moving. This was a great stretch after sitting at my table all day. I've made a commitment to myself going forward to stop and do some chair yoga or chair pilates every day. Thank you! 🙏

Just discovered this terrific chair version of Pilates. I used to teach Pilates and am now much older and creakier--but I discovered that can do your chair version (whew!). Now I have hope for getting some of those Pilates muscles and tone back. THANK YOU! You have such a thorough understanding of body mechanics and joint issues for seniors, and these safe routines for older people and beginners can reverse some of the physical impacts of aging. What a difference. I'm telling my friends about Senior Shape.

I love your (almost) 30 minute Pilates chair workouts. Due to knee pain I had to give up traditional yoga. Since I discovered your videos, I feel like my core, hips and legs are getting an even better workout. I can feel the difference. Thank you! Your positivity makes your videos a great experience.

I have severe arthritis in both knees so exercising is a huge challenge. But with this Pilates routine I feel like all my muscles are moving and that I’m actually accomplishing some exercise!! Your instructions are very clear also…, thank you!!!!

I Love all of your workouts Lauren. If I hadn't injured my Achilles, I don't believe I would have been doing the chair exercises. I've been doing all of your chair workouts & I am not disappointed.
