In my country the RX 6800 cost a little less than 400 dollars, the RX 7700 XT cost like 450 dollars, in the end i go with RX 6800

I just jumper from a GTX 1060 to a radeon 7900 GRE, i honestly think i'll spend the next year just being amazed that i don't see trees and mountains popping out while playing on lowest settings.

It's not even a competition. Rx 6800 has about the same fps as the 7700xt while having 4 gb more vram and being cheaper in most nations.

It is the objective better bang for the buck. The reasons he mentions are straight bs.

In my opinion the 7700 XT is only worth it if you NEED AV1 encoding. Not only is the 6800 the same sped with an extra 4GB of VRAM, it also has a lower power draw with much more overclocking headroom unless you lose the silicon lottery HARD.

I bought a used RX6800 off marketplace for $290 dollars. It was a 2 hour drive but worth it

During prime day microcenter was selling 6800 for 349 which was cheaper then 7700xt. However it's price higher now.

I chose the 6800 over the 7700xt for my brother's build because it was about 80€ cheaper at the time of buying

I got a 6800 for my 5900x, and a 7900GRE for my 5700x3D. The 6800 is a damn fine card...fps a little lower, but runs similar to my x3D PC.

I bought my rx 6800 and i dont regret it because in the games that i play, it barely beats out the 7700xt aswell as having more vram

where i live a used RX 6800 is legit less than 250$ and 7700XT costs HIGHER than MSRP. i also needed the extra VRAM for non-gaming use so it was a pretty damn no brainer for me

also bonus point for 6800 for being extremely efficient wattage wise

I bought a used 7900 xtx for $700, local Facebook. Then paired that with a Microcenter 7800x3D, mob, 32gb RAM, for $460. I'm happy, and eventual upgrade path for if/when we ever get affordable and viable ray tracing- maybe till Geforce 6000 or RDNA 5.

Just built a friend a 12600K system with a 6800 in it. He is currently running 1080P which that card will have no issues. In the future that 16gb of RAM may prove useful if he ever upgrades to 1440P
