Bought a GTX 1070 "used" (no idea why the seller sold it, its brand new) for my backup pc for 85 euros. Amazing how that thing still has more raw power AND VRAM than a RTX 3050. And doesn't even cost half the price of one. Really, if you're stuck with a 1050/1650/RX 580 or worse and your CPU is something like a 4770/4690, this thing will make your old PC last a few years longer.

I got an open box 7900xtx nitro+ for 800$ for my 7800x3d build. Currently in progress recording a video of the build 😅

I can't believe I got my Power Color Red Devil RX 7900 GRE for the same price as the 4070 non-Super. So glad I jumped on that deal during FantasTech.

Just a friendly feedback - the thumbnails for some of these GPU price videos are sometimes a little misleading. The one for this video shows what looks like an Asus Strix 4070 Super and has a big "$499" next to it, but that's nowhere close to its price. What is the price on the thumbnail really supposed to mean? Still thanks for the good content.

I paid 500 for my 2 fan 7900gre, sold my 6700xt for 200 so really only paid 300 for it. Great card

Jason your audience spending 500-999 is more a reflection of the enthusiast acceptance of high prices. If your poll had asked are prices too high it would have been another 90% yes. Duopoly pricing is just as bad as monopoly for GPU customers.

Great data! 2/3rds of the population were interested in 1440p. If we line up the common resolutions on -1, 0 and 1 standard deviations, that's almost a perfect fit to a normal distribution (68% of people in the first standard deviation in each direction.

GPU vendors - take note! This is what the market wants!

P.S. Jason, how are you determining score requirements for each category, ex, why is 180 points the minimum for 1440p high fps, why is 200 points the minimum for 4K?

Historically, is there a time where gpu prices are at their lowest? Is it near prime day, a new launch, random sporadic sales, black friday/ cyber monday?

A couple of percent % off... is hardly "prices going crazy."

20 hours of research, 3-8 hours for production...😢 Thank you
This was a good insight for today's Market and if lucky... We might get deals in October/November, I was not thouraly impressed last Christmas with the prices.

My videocards are 1660 Super, 3080ti and 4090, AMD has the best videocards for the money but I am an nvidia fanboy lol. My 4090 is perfect pairing with my ultrawide, 5120 x 1440p, all goodies turned up, not all games get 200fps which is crazy!

Just bought a 6700xt for $280. I might build a second pc if the 6750xt gets back down to $270 or cheaper.

Am currently thinking of building my first PC with 4070ti super or go with an amd gpu, like 7900gre/7900xt (and then get new laptop for work 😋)

It's surprising how little change there is in GPU prices. There were a few deals for Prime day, but other than that, prices have been virtually unchanged all year long. That's remarkable because performance has only been going up about 9% a year, meaning that from a performance standpoint alone you should only upgrade your GPU every 9-12 years. Thus, if the vendors want us to buy, and can't give us more performance, they need to give us better prices. Since we aren't seeing prices falling, either, expect people to keep running those 1080 Ti's and 2070 Supers.

Just bought a brand new PC the other day and am currently waiting on the parts. I got an I5 13600KF CPU: 4070S GPU: ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer III - 360 AIO: G.SKILL Trident Z5 32GB 6400mhz RAM: Thermaltake GF1 850W 80 gold plus PSU: MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI MOBO: WD BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 2280 2TB SSD: SAMSUNG SSD 990 EVO SSD (for the boot drive): and finally for the case I got the Phanteks XT Pro Ultra: I think I did pretty well on building a PC and I did want dlss so I didn't want an AMD card, and I personally prefer intel cpus. But yall lmk what you think about this build. 🤓☝💯

I got a 5700 xt rog strix for just $120! I originally was aiming for a 6700 xt model but when a deal this good presents itself I just couldn't help but take the oppertunity!
