The Honda Jazz is the most reliable motor because most of it's owners die of old age before the car does!

Anyone else notice how most of these reliable cars are Japanese? They may not be as luxurious as their German rivals but boy do they know how to make cars.

These cars were less than two years old when this was filmed! There shouldn't be any issues with any car!

We bought a brand new civic hybrid in 2008. We’ve done 186000 miles and it has cost us ( apart from servicing tyres ) £230 for brakes, this was after 154000 miles and that’s it. Amazing reliability

I took a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser past 500, 000km and only sold it because I wanted a new Land Cruiser. Problem free for all half a million kilometers.

These ratings on cars 2 or 3 years old are a joke. Even the worst brands will do fine for that long. Come back in 10 years and it will be a very different story.
It's like asking a couple halfway through their first date how good they think their marriage will be. There's no way to judge until you get there and making a judgement is pointless.
Minimum should be 5 years which is when the shortest warranties run out.

Have a Suzuki sx4 2010 bought new so 7 years 5 months old and never missed a beat.Only thing replaced has been a new set of tyers and two front suspension springs.Because my wife only drives about 5000 miles a year car has done 32, 000 miles since new.Serviced every year and has full Suzuki service history.Ultra reliable as was the Honda cr-v we had before.

So basically this list is based on owner's feelings, rather than any hard data. Which makes it pretty much useless.

Honda civic? excellent reliable car. Had it since 2012 and never failed MOT or had any advisories. Just had to change couple of tires. Can't beat that.

Could not agree more with the mazda's. My friend had one for over 14 years, done more than 150, 000 miles. The only things he had to change were brakes, battery and tires!!!

i own a 2007 jazz - very reliable. I've had it for two years and it has never caused an issue for me. servicing is relatively cheap (unless you go to a dealership). parts are readily available and i get roughly 450-460km on each tank of fuel. yes...it is slow and no fun to drive. however this video is about reliability, and that is what the honda jazz is. reliable! i'll definitely be going to another honda for my next car

My last two cars have been Hyundai. At the time of writing the second of the two - an ix20 - has performed faultlessly and the first - an i30 - was utterly reliable for the three years in my custody. So If the Top Ten does not include Hyundai, the listed cars must be pretty damn good.

In Indonesia... a lot of Japanese car (even the japanese car that was made in indonesia) user use it carelessly with low maintenance but it's still working for 8-10 years and also you can take your broken Japanese car to any workshop/garage, and repair them. But for European and american car in Indonesia? it's hard to fix it, and it needs high maintenance too.
sorry for my english

Couldn't agree more, I bought brand new back in 2002 a Honda Accord and 4 years later I bought a Honda Pilot, both cars with me until this month, just sold my Accord on Feb. 20, 2016 and in all those years with me NOT A SINGLE REPAIR BILL, I did regular maintenance on it the way I do it on my Honda Pilot, which by the way have never spend repair money on it either cause Honda's simply don't break, needless to say I just ordered a Civic EX-T in Aegean Blue Metallic which should be delivered to me by the en of March. Man am I excited and couldn't agree more with the number 1 spot picked by carbuyer, keep up the good work. =)
