1) underscreen fingerprint scanner better that button fingerprint scanner
2) brighter SAMOLED screen better that LCD screen
3) more convenient case for landscape/portrait mode in S9 and overall stronger magnets

The only reason Im leaning to the last year S8 instead of the new ona is the NON onscreen fingerprint scanner.
Hate onscreen scanner with some banking institutions which sometimes log off the minute the screen dims and asks for the scan.

not convinced i really want to go from s8 to s9 now?
1 fingerprint. is it really that much hassle to put your finger on the power button?
2. brighness/oled. Yes oled is brighter and blacks etc but...putting it on 100 % also takes more battery unless you are watching just mostly black images.
PWM you totally did not mention on oled s9. This technique to set the brightness is causing some people headaches, eye strain etc beceuse of this 'under the hood flicketing'. Maybe mentionning it would be helpfull as a warning.
3. book cover . For you yes, for me not at all. I use tablet in my hands not on a stand.
4. outside use. well i cant say i have used my tablet outside a lot and if i did its not in full sun and ok.
But the s9 is a great tablet. The sapdragon doesnt heat up as much and is faster more future proof. You get 4 years of updates and well just in cade your tablet falls in a sink, swimming pool etc its water proof....

Yea since the spec from s9 to plus and ultra are literally the same, i find s9 to be the perfect size ...the weight and the display ...its amazing❤

sadly 3 months on and totally ignored comment!
having the oled on s9 11 is not always a good thing.
Samsung sadly uses low frequency PWM to adjust brightness on their oled screens.
Ppeople who are senstive to this gdt headaches, eye strain etc after using it.
So for me this means i no longer can buy a highend samsung tablet while i could still buy the s8 11 inch without these issues as it has TFT.
Its about time samsung follows some other companies and use very high frequency PWM instead so everyone can still enjoy all their tablets, smartphones etc...

Goood Review New Stuff TV. I'm still using the G Tab S6 Lite, & I'm thinking about upgrading to the G Tab S9 FE. Maybe I'll spend the $$$ on a G Tab S9. LOL LOL
