I’m never bored, even if I didn’t work...too much housework and cooking. My favorite activity is to go outside and take a walk or bike ride. The simple things in life. To breathe in clean air, and see pleasant surroundings while moving around. Just cleaned all of my fans for summer. A/C isn’t necessary where I live, like not having that bill.

Great Video! My hubby & I are both very frugal. He works from home and recently his office chair got to where it would not stay in position, instead of running out and buying a new chair, he fixed it and save us at least $100. He will retire in a few years and wants to make sure he has enough money for us to live a comfortable life.

The car story is GOLD! I relate to your college story as well. I went to University in Australia to study Law. Literally everyone else came to class wearing designer and LV totes. I came from a lower socio-economic area and could not afford to buy stuff in shops. Most of my clothes were second hand etc. But I didn't care as that wasn't important to me. I graduated with honours and I am now running jury trials. I had no life at university as I was working so hard and even now, I am continuously working towards the next job promotion. Doesn't leave much time to shop excessively!

Loved your video!! Yes, you've got to keep your eye on the prize!! I'm currently working on funding my 3-6 month emergency fund. When I'm tempted to shop I always ask myself do I want ___ or do I want the security that comes from having my emergency fund fully funded. There is always something to do if I''m ever bored. I've been cleaning and organizing. I enjoy reading and watching something on Netflix. On beautiful days I sit outside and enjoy nature.

Great message!! When I want to spend money I find something to declutter instead. De cluttering my closet has always helped me realize how much clothes “I do have” sometimes we say we have nothing to wear because we hold on to stuff that doesn’t fit. Get rid of those and you will see how much you have that does fit. 🙂

You know what I used to do. Hoping I can continue to say USED on QVC/HSN. It was so easy because they offer these EASY PAYS....and then when you shop you think of I have 6 easy pays and it doesn't seem like much each month...UNTIL you buy way too much and you have a ton of easy pays coming out of your checking account each month. UGH. Well I paid all those suckers off and now when I do shop with them...I BUY IT in one payment and that has helped me because most times I will say "I really don't need this". It also made me realize how much money I was spending each month that I could use elsewhere or save.

same as you, i do not have time to be bored, i am raising my grandson, i have 3 dogs, 6 cats, 2 neices i spend lots of time with, a home to clean, chores to do, and i dont even have tv to fill the void! Once in a while, I get a pj day and watch Hulu, but those days are few and far between. I am watching my niece angels this weekend (3 and 16 months) so i cant even check emails until they go for their life is busy! I am in my 50's and there are times when my 13 year old grandson cant keep up with me!!Oh and plus i work a full time job - i was retired and went back to work because of a furnace issue that i did not budget f or!!

It was a great question! I am also never bored but I have picked up a new hobby, sewing, which I love! I have made some extra purchases, but it has been fun and I’m glad to have all my things that I need and can make creative projects. Great video, Kate! 🌸
