I'm at about $400-$600/ month on eating out. I'm single with no kids. Working 2 jobs, staying active doesn't give me alot of time to be at home to cook, but I'm working on it because these student loans GOTTA GO ! 🙌🏾😩🙏🏽

Before I watched your video I kept telling myself “calculate how much you’ve spend on fast food the past three months” I was completely heartbroken by the results. But this only motivates me to move forward ! Thank you for the video and advice 👏

We were never really fast food people, haven't touched it in easily over 10 years. However, we were eating out at restaurant, café and bistro people. When we started our debt-free journey at the start of this year and added things up we realised we were spending upwards of $1500 a month eating out. . .that was enough to open our eyes and get back to cooking, which we really enjoy doing. Now we eat out once, maybe twice a month for our budget meetings - a time to sit down half way through the month to talk about how things are going and at the end of the month to talk about how we did and any changes for the next month. Has helped us heaps in tackling our debt and we are on track to be debt-free by the end of the year except for the mortgage!

"Rice, a boiled egg, and chicken that doesn't look like it's seasoned..." LOL. Meal prepping is not for me either!

Yesss! I budget $15 for food for the week so $60 a month and that’s only for my child! I started buying in bulk and prepped a lunch bag for her filled with snacks to avoid buying food. We’ve done great so far. Thanks for sharing!
