I am trying to save money, because both my husband and I lost our jobs. So we have to spend our money more wisely. And think twice before we buy something

To pay off a credit card, again. I have two kids that grew a lot on me almost every season and I couldn't keep up with it. So now, I'm paying it off again, while trying to save up money for them. That's my no spend challenge. Super hard, but will be rewarding

Saving towards my son’s university fees. The less I waste the less debt he will have. Massive motivator.😊

I want to be a good steward of the money I have been given, build integrity and trust, be someone my husband can be proud of when he thinks of finances instead of shaking his head and saying “can’t count on you for saving money “

🏡 On the homestretch to paying off 30 year mortgage in 8 years! Putting all savings through no spend challenges toward principle! Also, breaking huge soda addiction and doing the same with that money, hopefully permanently.

I have started doing no spend challenges on clothing for 3 months at a time, to save money and have less of a negative impact on the environment.

My why is to break my Amazon addiction! I'm in for the month of Feb. Starting *right now.* No online shopping other than grocery, and no groceries that I can source in my freezer and pantry. Good luck, everyone!

Although I'm not doing a no-spend challenge, I am doing an "ethical-clothes-only" year. I'm not a big shopper, but I recently did some research and found that much of my closet comes from brands having negative environmental and social impacts. So, the clothes I buy this year have to either be 1) made local 2) thrifted or 3) made by ethical brands (Good on You is a great resource for this). It sounds tough, but I decided that if I'm not willing to put the effort into making sure my clothing fits into one of those categories, then I don't need to buy more clothes. Good luck to everyone on achieving your personal goals this year!

Priority #1: saving for a trip to Germany so my 3yr old daughter can finally meet her great-grandma and grandma. My husband has been wanting to visit home for years and now we’re making it a priority to see family, even if the flight is 9 hours.

Less material clutter is less mental clutter. Material possession obsession is so unhealthy. I was stuck in this loop for years and am on my way out. I find my head is so much more clear with less stuff. More time for things that matter. More of a reason to focus on quality in the things I do have. Helps keep perspective and remind me to be grateful for what I do have. This is my why.

I'm doing the no spend challenge because I am a hoarder and I often find myself impulse buying things and never letting go of them. I believe that doing a no spend challenge will help me to correct my bad spending habits and allow me to find ways to be happy with what I have, in stead of what I want.

I’m planning on doing this challenge for self awareness, breaking my mindless spending habits and most importantly saving for a house deposit! 🏡💸

My why: get out of debt and knowing that buying “things” won’t bring me happiness (it hasn’t in the last 10 years, so it won’t now!). Eliminating one category is so helpful! Thanks for such a great video

Thanks for the prompt for viewers to share their why.
I am tired of overspending beyond my means.
I am looking for a more simplistic life.
We are in the process of moving and although we are not big shoppers, I am appauled at the number of items we have an inventory we are managing in our lives. Extra stress adds unnecessary stress.
