Very true. I consistently go near close if I’m actually buying. For me, I know there will be less games played and finance will also move stuff along because they all want to go home. Easy sale and we get it done in an hour or 2

Also, don’t judge your customer. Walked into a Toyota dealership to get a Supra, dude was like “I can’t get you a test drive because I have to run your credit. People want this with low miles.” (Mind you, I’ve been a repeat customer from that dealership.) I insisted I wasn’t playing around and I wanted to test drive it. They kept refusing unless they ran my credit. Drive across the street to the BMW dealer and got a deal done for its cousin. Just because one person is young, doesn’t mean they’re not serious.

If you do your follow-up, you won't have to chase the last customer of the day. I like the first customer but the last customer keeps you at the ship til 10pm. Do your follow up, get someone in, sell them and go home on time and enjoy your family.

I only buy used cars because of car salesmen being shady. My wife has a new car and I guarantee you she won't be going back to a dealership to get a new one.

Dont forget to try you little ass off to sell them shit they dont need. It honestly makes me laugh with how useless sales reps are. Like actually completely and utterly useless. But you mix in well with the rest of em so 🤷‍♂️
