My First Year of 40

Okay I just turned 41 and it's been the best 365 days! I feel like for the first time in a long time, I had full control of my life prioritizing me and my family.

50 has been wonderful! I am learning more about who I am .. like.. I can do anything I want to do! I am 52 and I’m in college getting my degree in behavioral science, I feel sensual in my own skin even though I’m not the weight I want to be it’s okay, I’m loving the journey in being healthy not being skinny, I have more focus and I’m bolder to say what I feel and what I want out of life! I have 5 children from the ages of 35-18 they are all working or in college so I have more time to care for me! I have 5 grandchildren as well! I’m not rich in money but I’m wealthy in being blessed in all things God has blessed me in my life! I look forward to blessings everyday, and I’m dreaming again.. I know there’s so much in store for me, my love and my children and I’m so thankful .. cheers to getting older and loving it all! Mwahhhh! Btw I turned 52 on Oct 5th .. October is the best month! Hi Adrienne ♡ 27 year old here (and the first year of Gen Z if you’re curious!) - I’ve been a fan since Cheetah Girls and I started watching The Real when I was 18 because of you. I remember at the time I was really depressed and not looking forward to my 20s but hearing you and the other ladies talk about how strange your 20s can be gave me much needed hope at that time and looking forward to 30 and beyond!

I turned 40 during the Pandemic, so I ordered in food, took off work, and celebrated myself. As a 43-year-old. You are not OLD! I call myself a Xenniel. This means you know a Walkman and a CD player, but you were the first generation to transition to the Internet and dial-up. I loved turning 40. You are so much more confident and you stand two feet down toes buried in the earth when it comes to business. I divorced at 39, so my family plan really was derailed until I made the decision to just do it myself. Being solo never scared me, but now I'm really not scared. I feel you on the weight gain. Mine came like a vengeance. It's slowly coming off though.
