I LOVE this woman. She gets it better than anyone I've listened to. She understands the individual going through it. Not just the "doctor" or "book smart" side.

I struggled with the idea that my N mother might be "ill, " to justify why she kept hurting me all my life. But really, that doesn't matter. If someone is hurting you, intentionally or not, you need to get away from them. You weren't born to be somebody's punching bag.

I strongly stand by calling him or her for EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE.
NO SHAME.
NO GUILT.
NO WATER IN MY MOUTH to talk the truth, given enough evidence and experience.
Narcissistic abusers are destructive.
They destroy others.
They are what they are.

I had a friend who was abusive and spoke about the abuse they suffered growing up. My response did not go over well when I said "that does not entitle you to abuse others. It should make you sensitive to how hurtful and wrong it is."

I hate when people say “don’t diagnose” they’re don’t understand that you have to know what you’re dealing with in order to know how to proceed. But coaches and therapists do this too. I really appreciate you addressing this.

I heard this said yesterday: When the narcissists "gets away" with telling their lies, they (the narcissist )then believe they are telling the truth.

I have found Narcissists are toddlers who reached legal age. They never graduated from the "terrible twos" & turned vicious. Their TARGETS need the education & help from the Psych community. Thank you Dr Ramani !

I’m mad as hell and I’m not taking it anymore. I am sick and tired of being told “Don’t call a. Narcissist a narcissist”. This is totally wrong.
And the world is rife with more and more of them. I’m calling them what they are and if you have been used and abused by one of these jerks, you need to call them what they are. They wreck life after life after life and just waltz away. They NEED calling out. Knowledge in this area is protection.

Dr. Ramani I personally thank you. I’ve been in this mess of a marriage for 15yrs with a narcissist husband, 10 years of the marriage has been a total waste of my time with him abusing me and his children and our daughter emotionally, before watching your videos and others on NPD I thought I was losing my mind but, all alone I knew something was wrong with him that I couldn’t understand what it was. Knowledge is power, we’re going through the divorce and I can’t wait till I don’t have to deal with him anymore, thank to you.

_Disorders_ are not _illnesses._ Illness is schizophrenia etc. Disorders are behaviors which do not fit socially in current society.
