This is probably a shocker to most but our sweet tooth is the socially accepted addiction only because of our perception of sugar. But in this video, I’ll show you why sugar wreaks far more havoc on our health than we could ever imagine.

Most people have no idea how much sugar they're consuming because the vast majority is hidden in food products. Seventy-four percent of products in the supermarket contain unnatural added sugars. I gave up sugar in October of last year when my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. I was stunned! She said she wanted to put me on Metformin. I know from friends who are on insulin that Metformin is a precursor to insulin. I told her to give me time (two months) and let us then recheck my blood. Along with giving up sugar, I began the ketogenic lifestyle. We rechecked my bloodwork and I am no longer pre diabetic.

I love how you called it "socially accepted addiction" because that's exactly what it is. Society tries to seperate sugar from drug or alcohol abuse where it kills more people than either so called drugs or alcohol. Keep up the good work fam.

Back in April, I weighed 205 pounds but felt sluggish after physical activity. Told myself changes need to be made with me having big events happening. Reduced my sugar intake to minimum levels and did regular exercising, the results happened over time. 2 months in, got down to around 190 before meeting many stars at a convention. At the 3 month mark, got down to 180. Recently weighed myself and now at 175.

I've fought obesity most of my life. I've also lost significant amounts of weight but regained it as soon as I went back to old eating habits. Over these last few months, I've managed to lose 40 lbs through intermittent fasting and a mostly plant based lifestyle. What you're teaching about sugar consumption is spot on!! I was concerned about my green but fruity smoothies. I have them 4-5 times a week. Happily, I can report that my latest A1-C was 4.9. The next phase of my lifestyle change is the gym and the pool now that the weather is good. 340 down to 298 in about 7 months. Still a good ways to go to reach my ideal weight, but I'm very optimistic and really enjoying the way I eat now. Cravings are all but gone for the most part. My taste buds have changed completely. No sugar cravings and no carbs except for an occasional desire for a pizza!! 😂

I have had a lifelong addiction to sugar. At the age of 50 I began to develop severe fatigue, brain fog, eczema, and worse of all chronic pain from early arthritis. That either lead to depression or it was another symptom. (Also almost zero libido)
I was seriously TKO’d. I felt like life was over for me. I kept wondering if I had the early stages of cancer.
Kicking sugar in 2020 was the beginning of a tough journey. I also had to kick all processed foods and eat a primarily plant based/vegan diet. It’s been just over three months and all my arthritis pain is gone. Most of my brain fog is gone. For the first time in a decade I’m waking up happy. My skin has 98% cleared up. I don’t have the energy I had at 25 but I’m seriously feeling better.

Guys and gals, our modern diet is killing us. Nobody is going to make the changes you need to make for you.

All my doctors said nothing was wrong with me but I was just getting older. Older my ass! I was seriously sick!

If you’re wondering if changing your diet will make you feel better, well just try it. What the heck have you got to lose but years of your life feeling crappy?

Losing the weight is just a bonus. Who really cares about that when you seriously think you might be dying.

I am so glad that you made this video. I decided to go on a sugar, flour detox a couple of weeks ago. I am weening myself back off of it. My husband gets upset with me and says that I am becoming paranoid and that I need to just eat in moderation. I advised him that we can do better by eating whole foods, we gave up sodas, etc. I am 66 and not on any medication, my hubby is on a light high blood pressure med.
