We've officially crossed the era of better cameras. Every camera is best in its own way, now it's just the matter of what aesthetic one prefers. Bright and punchy or natural and toned

Google’s AI and software is truly impressive. Both are outstanding cameras considering how small they are. We are lucky to have such great options no matter which ecosystem you prefer. I have a 15 Pro Max, but would love a Pixel 8 Pro as well.

Pixel has really knocked it out of the park this time, and with an inferior SoC, and cheaper. The battery life and thermals are also very good. Way to go Google

One of the best and most balanced Pixel 8 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro Max reviews I have seen so far. The amount of time and effort that must go into to producing this smooth and effortless looking comparison is huge. Much appreciated, thanks!

Hey saf, i think it would be a nice idea to include pics from your DLSR in such Camera comparisons to let the viewers get an idea of how "natural" the pics taken on either phones are .

I've had the ultra 21 and 22 before switching to the Pixel 7 Pro. I wanted a true android experience which is why I switched to the Pixel. And, I'm so glad I did! I'm waiting for my Pixel 8 Pro now and can't wait for the experience! The Google Assistant is amazing as well as the call screening and generative AI experience. The more you use the phone, the better it gets! Definitely Google over iPhone

It's crazy because these comparisons always seem so close but my friends with iPhones always want to use my Pixel when taking pictures. 😅

Please look into the Ultra HDR, the new JPEG that the Pixel 8 has that no other phone has. It is such a game changer. Also, go turn on rich color format in advanced settings in the camera, it makes a huge difference also. But if you take a 50 megapixel picture with rich color and ultra HDR, the best photos I've ever seen on a phone. You can also take full resolution on the other 2 lenses also.

I could be wrong but I think you can choose a setting to force the pixel to use a specific camera so it doesn't automatically decide to use the main sensor when zooming to 5x zoom during low light.

I switched from the Huawei P30 Pro to the Pixel 8 Pro and I'm not so sure yet. At first glance, the photos aren't much better. If you then zoom in here, you can of course see that the P30 pro lacks details. Nevertheless, I find the Huawei's photos more pleasing without zooming in. Then there is the issue of software. The Pixel 8 pro has probably frozen 2-3 times. Strangely enough, most mornings after getting up, I suddenly couldn't close the alarm app (clock). Other apps can also be laggy and sometimes freeze for a few seconds. Quite strange. Youtube Music drains the battery like crazy... an hour of listening to music takes away 15-20% of the battery. The phone definitely gets very warm. Even today I could clearly feel it through the cover. On YouTube Music, change background images, while looking at pictures on “Photos”. Compared to my Huawei, which was always fluid, never crashed and always stayed cool, it was actually a disaster. I'm thinking about returning the phone... I'm not sure yet. Actually, the camera is one of the most important things to me... let's see.

Wow! The pixel is SO much better than the last generation (which already produced amazing pictures), it’s mindblowing. Now I’m even more hyped that this is my new phone 😁👍. Thanks for testing!

Thank you for reviewing the ZOOM feature of each camera....barely anyone goes into enough detail on the cameras of a phone and that's a pretty big selling point!! I have a pixel 5 and have been holding out for a pixel with better think the 8 pro is it!!

iPhones tend to make the subject of photos the pop more than the background which sometimes means things like clouds are blown out. Most others try to process everything including the background but sometimes sacrificing the subject. This is why I think more people think iPhones have better pictures because most people focus on the subject of the picture and not the background.

very similar in my opinion. The iPhone photos now respect the white balance better, although I think they still look yellow. They both have to improve on zoom, Huawei and Samsung are still far ahead for long-range photos. Video has improved a lot, the pixel is on the right track, right now it is a high-end one at that. Apple fails in HDR in photos and Google has to improve that in video. selfie I like the pixel ones much better, my skin is what it is, to change and soften the Chinese brands are already available hahaha both very good phones

I’m looking forward to trying out my Pixel 8 Pro. I’m currently using an iPhone 12 Pro Max but I never got as excited about the camera as I did even with my Pixel 3. I think you’re right a lot of it is personal preference. For the average user, iPhone is probably the way to go. For someone like me who really enjoys editing, I’m going to have fun with camera settings and editing in Lightroom to get great images. I’ve never been a fan of iPhone’s image processing. It washes away detail and the colors aren’t my favorite. I might not love my Pixel when I get it but I don’t love iPhone either tbh. I think it’s overhyped

Good comparison! I have both the Pixel 8 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I really love them both and I am very happy with both phones although I normally use the Pixel 8 Pro for photos and the iPhone 15 Pro Max for videos but for me both phones are amazing and spectacular #TeamPixel #TeamiPhone

Can't lose these days. Phones are good or good enough at almost most price ranges. I usually back off the background blur a little after on the pixels in portrait mode. Helps the rough edges if any. Turns out sweet.
