If only the price of pixel was lower, it'd have been acceptable. But at that price its competing directly with apple and samsung. And no where it is near them performance wise with ufs 3.1 along with having a huge difference in battery life.

I'm using Pixel 9 pro XL for the last 2 weeks and the battery life is fantastic. I'm getting a minimum of 8 hours screen on time on an average and 9.5 hours being the highest with 10% left. All this happened along with 24 hours of total usage. So I'm not worried about this comparison as I'm quite happy with its performance. I don't game much so I'm not worried about that as well. The price? Yeah it could have been a little cheaper but I am a happy customer.

PS: I'm not supporting just because I spent moneey on it but because the battery life is actually good!

It was honestly quite impressive to see the Google performing well into the 10 hour mark. At least it is improving, but needs more work if it wants to catch up to Samsung and Apple.

I have a OnePlus 12 and my girlfriend has an s24 ultra. We both love our phones and neither one of us ever worry about running out of battery. I used to have a google pixel 6 and even while using battery saver the battery life was horrible. It drained like crazy, and after that experience I will never buy another google pixel device at least until they swap away from their exynos based tensor chip.

The S24 Ultra is down 3/4th it's life cycle, just saying. Waiting for Apple to release it's iPhone 16 Pro Max, would love to see some more efficiency gains..

Im a Pixel use and will say that Google needs to have the basics (screen, camera, battery, charging, build) down to a T if they plan on sticking to the 'simple everyday' route. Its not a powerhouse, so they need to makesure everything else is immaculate so that the purchase and price is justified.

Yo, the S23 Ultra battery, when it came out last year, was just as good as the S24 Ultra's. Samsung's really stepped up their battery game over the years.

I had the S22 Ultra... 8 Gen 1 was a beast I know, but in battery life againts my S24 Ultra this last one has a Great battery life. I'm happy with it 😊 only Super F! Angry with the camera thats all, have a great day everyone 👋🏻

the only thing I can think of is the S24U has been out since February and has had 6 months worth of software updates to help optimize things (and it seems like Samsung releases an update every 2 weeks) whereas the Pixel 9 series has only been out for a couple weeks and they haven't fully optimized it yet.

I like the Pixel 9 Pro XL but truly it's overpriced. It shouldn't cost more than $850 for the 256GB.
