Pixel 8 pro is a steal these days, the trade in at google is crazy good.

The zoom test really destroyed Samsung‘s tiny 10MP sensor.

Thanks for the thoughtful, detailed overview! Sinc making it have you noticed any improvement on that issue of phone crashing when switching from reg to 5x zoom?

I have both of these phones and I really enjoy using both of them. When I got Samsung s24 plus I made it my daily driver and made my Google pixel 8 Pro. My side piece can't go wrong with either one of them though. They're both great phones. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work. Cam

Both are very good but I'm going slightly more towards the S24

Both of these are the best, but the Pixel seems to have more accurate colors in photos. But Samsung is more willing to give 0% financing to people with bad credit with low monthly payments (under $40/month) than Google is so actually a Galaxys24+ may be more affordable in real life even while being absolutely more expensive because it's relatively more attainable and more affordable in real life conditions in the short terms -- which is reality.

Many people would take a long time to save $1, 000 to buy a phone in cash, but they could get a brand new Galaxy s24+ shipped to them before saving and get to use it with low monthly payments during all that time they would have otherwise had nothing, and they include cases and tempered glass screen protectors into the total financing. The Google store is not as lienient with financing.

And that's a very practical factor that makes the decision in many cases. Korea is all about financing purchases, and that culture works to our benefit here with the Galaxy 24+.

Have an Pixel 8, that doesn't even connects do my car Bluetooth. And searching the web I find that this is very common among Pixel users. Never heard it from all the youtubers that review the phone.

I have to lean more towards the galaxy phone. Just because they don't have modem issues like the Pixel phones seem to always have. And the Galaxy phones seem to be at the same level as a Pixel now with the camera.

Pixel aluminum edges scratch and dull way to easy. Camera bump on back catches way to much dirt and scratches too easy. Camera shelf sticks out way to much. Had pixel and between hardware lacking and slower chipset will keep me buying samsung over pixel

Former pixel owner here to say. Pixels are under powered and low build quality and hardware for what you spend compared to samsung

I’m waiting so bad for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, I’ll buy it as soon as it’s out

I was really happy about my pixel but now that you mention it I do realize the fingerprint reader. The UI is really annying too, and don't get me started on the battery. With al setting turned to a max it lasts half a day for me with minor usage. I'd say if you don't compare your pixel to others you'll feel great but as soon as you see a samsung you'll just regret it 🫤.

P.S. dont watch reviews of something you already bought 😂

I had the Pixel 8 pro and unfortunately that tensor G3 is its downfall. There were too many times that sinply pulling down the notification bar caused it to force close, it would just pop right back up and I would have to pull it down again. Almost every time i would check my notifications.
The fingerprint reader in the 8 pro is trash. Just point blank.
The battery of the pixel was a joke. I had to charge the pixel multiple times a day.
Pixel has a lot of good about it that I loved. The pixel needed to have the snap dragon.
After 6 months of use I went back to my old iPhone 13 Pro Max.
I want to like the Pixel but until Google can get a better chipset...I will just have to stick with Apple and Samsung. 😕

In my opinion, this is a lopsided comparison. The Samsung Galaxy s24 plus is far and away a better device. To that end, let's address the heart of the beast. The Samsung utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 generation 3 chipset; flagship processor. Conversely, the Google pixel 8 Pro offers the tensor G3 chipset; hi-tier mid-range processor. Apart from that, they match up fairly well feature for feature. Still, while I prefer Google's software it's not enough to overcome the inferior processor.
Strictly speaking, I decided to pass on both of these in favor of the OnePlus 12. It offers far better specifications, more value and is a much better device. In addition, it offers an ergonomic curved glass screen that has a far more premium look than a flat screen. Not to mention, neither of the devices in your comparison can compete with the battery power and charging speeds of the oneplus 12. Obviously, other people are entitled to their opinions but, I stand by mine.

Don't forget that the AI features on the Samsung are likely to become subscription accessible in 6 months time. Samsung are keeping quiet about that.
