It's not funny. I do agree with you he did get his 2 kids. It's too bad one of them has a disability. You could have told him to reach out to company's that provides caregivers. So at least the rest of the family could have an emotional rest sometimes.

Both are terrible people. You don't rejoice in someone else's pain and suffering for things out of their control. He probably wanted to feel fulfilled in a different way other than a job, with a bigger family, but things were unlucky for him and he became depressed.

What did he think. He was going to have 2 kids and it would be all rainbows and unicorns. Kids are a hugh emotional and financial responsibility. Depending on your income status only the people with a lot of money who can hire a nanny have any life whatsoever. Otherwise if your just earning a living and barely managing to save for vacations before even having any kids. You are going to be very stressed emotionally and financially when you start having kids.

Not sure why people attack OP or find her unpleasant. If this is a real story of course. She clearly communicated she doesn't want kids before they married. So he knew what was up and agreed. Its not her fault that he changed his mind. He is obviously free to leave her to pursue a family.

But why should she feel bad that he doesn't like his new family. She was very clear she doesn't want kids so why should she be concerned about the children of her ex husband. You don't force yourself to have empathy for people who have nothing to do with you and you have no responsibility for.
