Or if they feel like they aren't worthy of a great person like you you can't win it over no matter what. If their self love and confidence isn't high as yours and go through their own struggles, , they have to work on that, you can't fix them no matter what or understanding you are.

Ooo I had the same... he really likes me he said. We should remain friends, then he said we should have been friends from the beginning instead of lovers... yeah right but he was chasing me to start with...
I cutted all contact, telling him a friendship is not an option for me.
Bye bye... it has been a week now... curious of what will happen... I am moving on and fucussing on my own.

I have completely gone silent on him- zero calls, zero texts.... but we work together so unfortunately I can’t completely disappear as much as I would like to. We broke up and 2 weeks later he was dating someone else. We never had a big fight or big blow up and when we did break up, I never chased him. My problem is, not knowing if I am doing the right thing at work when i do interact with him. I don’t go out of my way to look for him, but when he does initiate communication or interaction, I’ve always been very nice, polite and never show him how upset I am. I just don’t know if by me doing that, gives him the impression I never really cared and instead, reassures him of his decision to be with the new girl.

Have u considered that one of the partners may be on the narcissist spectrum, and u they want to keep their exes as a friends for control? Btw it’s not a power game, a healthy relationship is balanced give and take. If it’s a power struggle for control, it’s not the right relationship for u and not true love. Someone can only love u as much as they love themselves and vice versa.

My baby daddy says he won’t be in a relationship with me yet he sleeps over a few times a week and comes to me whenever he needs someone to be there for him. He knows I love him and that’s probably why he does it. I want a family for my children but that doesn’t seem to be a priority to him. I keep having hope because he’s around and I think if I can show him how much I care he will want to be with me but that doesn’t work. I have forgiven so much but never seems anything is good enough and I can’t figure out why

Nice advice. But we also be honest about why we want our ex back and be honest with our true feelings instead of just keeping him around. Otherwise, we would be like them and try to keep them while we might not see a future with them as well.

He says he doesn't want to lose me, or see another man love me but he doesn't want to be in A relationship with me bc he is confused and going through personal things, I seen that he made a dating profile looking for a relationship and we haven't even been going through this trouble not even 2 months and we have been together 10 years. He says he wants to be with me and can't see himself settling with anyone and that he knows he is messing up the best thing yet he is still out there talking to other ppl while wanting to still see me and my son that he raised since 6 months, I feel like I'm holding on to a hope for him to change his mind and I'm scared to completely leave and he'll forget me and meet someone else and I hate the thought that I was so easily replaceable and like our beautiful years together were so Easy for him to forget and start a whole new relationship. He just says the word confused all the time. And I find myself trying to change his mind or trying to show him my worth and It just makes me feel incredibly dumb afterwards 😞how did he just change his mind overnight
