⏰Ramadan Training Time: Before or After Iftar?

Should you train before or after iftar if you are fasting for Ramadan?

Research by a Tunisian university found that training before or after breaking your fast results in the same muscle growth and fat loss progress. So you can time your workout based on convenience.

Are you busy in the evening due to family events, train before iftar. If training after iftar while being fed is preferred, that is possible too!

Also, research shows that if you continue lifting weight during Ramadan, you can maintain muscle just fine. So no need to worry about muscle loss💪🏼

Ramadan Mubarak ☪️ may Allah grant us the good deeds of this month, may he heal our ills and soothe our hearts and may we come out better at the end.

I train right before Iftar. During Ramadan, I focus purely on maintaining what I built and not adding. It gives me some good recovery as well.

It depends how you break your fast.
If you want to eat protein(kebabs tikka mandi etc) then work out b4 iftar. But if you want to eat carbs like rice and naan then workout after iftar.

I’m not fasting but I always find myself training on empty stomach after work 🤦‍♂️
