If you are in a time crunch, try to walk briskly up and down a flight of steps 3 or 4 times in a row (especially up) every day. It's HIIT training (high intensity interval training) and has proven health benefits even if done for only a few minutes a day. Double that number of flights, and you may live significantly longer.

10k steps was a marketing ploy by a Japanese company who made the step counter..but 10k is very doable and I also ride my bike.

This advice for adding a 1000 steps more every two weeks is a good idea. I just might try it. Thanks so much.

That old lady is not walking 20k steps a day. That's probably about 3 hours a day if she's walking and closer to 10 miles. Pressing x for doubt.

The point is to get you moving, circulating blood and keeping up your metabolism. Let go of hurting the info of a higher number when it’s for the best. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Add 1000 steps a day every 2 weeks, that's an extra 26, 000 steps a day after a year, 52, 000 a day after 2 years, 78, 000 a day after 3 years or 260, 000 steps or 100 miles after 10 years 😅
