For all those people commenting negative, the point of this video is simply that the exact 10, 000 steps benchmark has no scientific basis as per recent study.
Walking is a good exercise but the benchmark was more of marketing rather than actual scientific fact.

I have observed several people who stress themselves in trying to complete 10000 steps. The western concepts of fitness are, as mentioned, more commercially oriented than actually benefiting health.

30 - 40 minutes walk a day, 5 days week, more Vegetables & fruits, cut down on processed foods, sugars, good sleep of 7 - 8 hours, eating less calories will keep one healthy.

Hi.. my grandfather used to walk more than 20k-30k steps in a day ..he lived 105 years ..he was active his entire life and never been bed ridden..
And his diet included all vegetables ..
Walking and working hard doesn't go wrong .. it's all when a person takes mental stress faces health issues

only 4 steps are enough --
Step 1: Stop quantifying every activity/steps.
Step 2: Exercise as much as you can, without straining the body too much.
Step 3 : eat right
Step 4: Meditate

its not a hoax, I have been walking 20km a day since last year lockdown, no proper diet and still managed to reduce close to 21kg just by walking and nothing more, but to get into shape hitting the gym is mandatory.

I would rather do different exercises or yoga than walk round and round, and these gadgets are just marketing gimmicks. Common sense is all you need not the gadget.

In the 1980's -- Jenny Craig recommended 40 to 50 minutes of walking at a casual but, brisk speed! Everyday! It really helped 10's of thousands of people who had had heart attacks. Keeping this regime of exercise along with proper Clean Eating -- to away almost all risks of another heart attack. History proved this out to be true!

Its better to walk that extra one mile rather than wasting in front of a gadget... BTW I love walking...walks around 8-12 KM a day.

Thank you for saying this. I've real life example to prove this. I only walked 4000-6000 steps 5 days a week and few times jogged 200m during the walks and lost 17kgs in 3 months. I did nothing else except ditch meat, junk food and eat a little bit less than I usually did. Went from 86kgs to 69kgs with good muscle mass.
